Turns out How about Daryl How about Daryl Let's call him Daryl We'll call him Daryl So turns out Do you have his name? I don't have his name either No I don't No one has his name That's not my job To have his name Brian That's not my job Turns out She left Uh The house To both of them Well she wants to sell the house And he wants to buy the house But it's complicated Because she's not from Greece And so the only workaround here

[00:08:02] Is for those two crazy kids To get married So they do that They decide They're gonna Give it a go And they have a wedding And he ends up kissing her big ones When it's time to kiss the bride How about that? Uh She has to stick around for a while To get all Dot all the I's Cross all those T's You know Letter stuff And uh While doing that Wouldn't you know it Sparks begin to fly She even helps him

[00:08:31] Get a promotion At work Uh Maybe she should just stay But she has a partner Back home Who is counting on her And that money That she was gonna get For the sale Of the house So he asks her A big question Will you Swim in the canal With me? And We know what that means It is a big deal Um She says No She freaks out And she leaves The sale is finalized

[00:09:00] She gives him back the rings But then she Does some soul surfing Searching Hey soul sister She does some Water's right there She can do soul surfing If she wants to Soul skating I've heard of that Brink The greatest movie Of our time Anytime Soul surfer was a movie About Bethany Hamill That's true Um Anyway She does some soul searching She may have surfed We don't see that Um And she realizes That she's not ready To go home yet She talks to

[00:09:30] People back home Says I'm gonna stay here For a while So Text them Meet me at the canal They swim the canal Let's give it up for them Yeah Good swim They then kiss Big one She tells him that She's gonna stay And maybe I don't know And that my friend's wife Is The Greek Isle We did it Let's take a break We'll come back We'll do some soul surfing Of our own

[00:10:29] To hold back That's right But not today I liked it He will not Hold back I liked it Greek Isle Bri What'd you think What I think is The bigger point here That we all I hope it doesn't get lost Here in the waves If you will This is why You don't go into business With your friends You're Inevitably You're gonna Like ruin A good thing And so You gotta First of all Just stay out Of business With your friends Point one Okay Okay Alright Everybody I feel like

[00:10:58] Gotta agree with that There's no world We're in year 10 Yeah Like we're making it Not yet Year 9 But it's basically 10 We round up Around here So that's the first Takeaway Overall though Still in year 8 By actual July measures But it doesn't Half Hardly even It doesn't matter If it all falls apart Before 10 So lead up to 10 Is pretty important Overall though This one Unfortunately Pretty boring for me I thought it was Just okay

[00:11:28] Something that did Stand out That I was genuinely Impressed with Were The scene transitions There were some Really cool Standout transitions Here that were done In this movie And I feel like That deserves to be Mentioned In my hot take Because it might Be controversial But Hot takes Transitions You think are Going to be Controversial I think There were good Transitions Yeah That's going to Be a real Hot button issue Where Brandon Are going to Pop back at you And be like How dare you Mention these Transitions I'm pretty pissed On this It's crazy Some of the

[00:11:57] Worst transitions I've ever seen It's because You guys are Friends So some cool Scene transitions I still don't Understand cricket Unfortunately And Fair The ocean Looked way too Treacherous For what the heck They were trying To do there Yeah A lot of wind A lot of wind Out there Those waves I just After I saw this movie I don't know if it was My algorithm I saw I got served a video Of a kid doing a rope Swing off of a Mountain side And you're supposed to Let go and fall Into the water And he didn't And he slammed back Into the rocks

[00:12:26] And fell down the mountain Side and into the water And honestly That's all I could think About when I was watching This movie Was that looks just Too dangerous You think you got that video Because of this movie Yeah Because you watch Other videos You think that you Watch the Greek aisle And your algorithms Were like Yeah He needs to see a child Die of slowdown It was more like A teenager Maybe a 20 something It didn't look like A young kid So I do think That's how How many times You watched this bad boy I watched him I had to pause it For a long time So My phone picks up on stuff So Just watch out out there

[00:12:56] Is all I'm saying So You didn't like it He did not It was just okay for me It was a little boring For me For me Yeah okay So listen here folks This is A good idea This is Nikki Deloach This is Just okay It is Yeah I I I I wanted a little bit more Hmm Oh wait Enemies

[00:13:26] Enemies to lovers Possibly Out of this I wanted Them to be At each other's throats I wanted there to be Some of that I wanted there to be Maybe a little bit of pushback To the Let's get married I wanted there to be Something That's caused These waves To begin to Jostle A bit And Really They were For my Watching of this movie All in on each other For the most part

[00:13:55] This entire movie It was It was Really The business back Home And her plans With her Friend Who she's in business With That caused The friction Yeah Of do I jump In the Is this a guy That I want to Jump in the canal With Yeah Right And so I think That I was I was missing Some of the Of that The tension There It was just All like Like they went From Hey I want to Buy the house I want to sell you The house

[00:14:24] Let's get married Okay let's do it Like it's just I wanted more And you know So maybe there's that It just Seems like It was Too good To be true The entire time And so That was My critique of it Is I Because it was So good The entire time Like them It wasn't a good movie It was just Kind of that I like the whole page I was I was a bit Bored by it Sure Yeah No Yeah So Yeah But beautiful

[00:14:54] Looked beautiful You know Nikki's wonderful She did a great job And good for her She had to go to Greece So can't be mad At her for that And so Yeah It was okay Dan Yeah Nikki's great And Carfu looks amazing But to echo What these two guys said Like this movie Just doesn't really work I will I do need to point out Nikki has a relative die Who left her an inheritance She has to share With a handsome stranger Gosh We gotta be on Like a half dozen Of those by now

[00:15:23] But this movie The thing that it has Going for it is These two people Have to get married To expedite the process The problem is Bran I didn't want Enemies to lovers I wanted true Fake relationship In fake relationship Movies They have to pretend And people start To figure it out And poke holes in it And in this movie Aside from the Actual vow sharing Of the movie They never really Are putting these Predicaments For laughs

[00:15:52] Where they have to Pretend to know Each other well And be And love each Like they didn't Lean into the Very natural Comedic setup That we have here So instead We rely on Nikki the Loach Who's amazing And how beautiful Grease is Which is also great The movie though Is not nearly As promising As its premise It doesn't ever Fulfill the heights Of what it could Capably be And so Because of that It's just kind of Boring It's not as bad As some movies

[00:16:22] For sure It's not going to End up in the Bottom of our rankings There's been some Real turds out there But this movie Just never lives up To any billing Aside from Nikki the Loach Never gives anything Other than 100% And that She does follow through Let's get to The feels That's where we Talk about what In this movie Gave us feels I'll start with you Bri guy Yeah my feels Actually There was some Food in this movie That we got to see And it looked good And that's fun And stuff So my feels Was just wondering What Greek Food experience Dan's going to Talk about In his feels

[00:16:54] My feels You mentioned it A little bit I am And I want this On the record Because I don't Want anybody Ever asking me To jump into a canal I'm out on it I'm out on Jumping into canal I am out on Swimming through A covered rock Area Namely I can't swim Well So that would be A big part of it I don't want to do That I will I will I love

[00:17:23] I love You guys And I'll do a lot With you I'm not going to Swim in the canal I'm out on it I do Appreciate Cancel the flights I guess I appreciate The canal And what it represents I am out on canal And I It was The waves were Way too choppy I just wouldn't Have been Comfortable There And I Think he should Have been a little Bit more gracious

[00:17:53] In her Not wanting to Swim the canal That's all I'm Saying Dan So I didn't have A feels But after Brian's I will tell you That a lot Of people Think That putting The french Fries on the Euros Is an American Thing It isn't That is a Pretty common Street food Thing in In Greece And if You've Never had A euro With french Fries On it It's not Something that I would Ever Choose Myself If they're The right French fries It's actually Delighting It looks Great

[00:19:52] Cut back on some of These expenses Pretty easily What is the business Do you know PR Or a creative Marketing They definitely Don't need that Giant office No It's decorated So nice It looks great I think it's marketing Is what they're doing They have to give Like they have to have A place they can Present a good front For people So they know They're serious But what they have Is over For people that are In debt and trying To start a business There's just no world No you don't need that So that kind of Bothers me And her inviting The detective

[00:20:22] Boss man detective And his wife Over for dinner Yeah My worst nightmare I knew that was Going to bother you Worst nightmare I'm so much like him In that scenario And my wife is Naked a lotion In that scenario And it drives me Crazy Like I Oh boy Like I Once you're thrown in That's the thing Like you have to be Thrown into that scenario Because you If you ask me Should we invite The boss man And his wife over You're going to say no Hard no Absolutely not Absolutely not We're escaping out The back door of the shop They're not going to know We were here But Nikki just takes it Upon herself to go

[00:20:51] Just do it And then all of a sudden He's in that scenario And there's no way out And that's how you have To treat people like me Is you just have to Put them there Whether they want to Or not And boy I hate it I hate that so much And so that came across You know he wouldn't Get the promotion They were leaving For a month They made it I would have actually Hard disagree That you put people In that situation But in this situation He's leaving They were up against The time Yeah she knows Like she's really doing The grunt work for him To get this promotion At that point But he would drag his feet Until it either Passed him by

[00:21:21] Or like he What a terrible Way to live life I find it interesting To find out That the Greece police Is private Private Private eyes It's really All about bored I've really thought More about that Since watching this movie Than I anticipated Like the Private versus public Yeah Police force What is Should we start one I don't know I don't think so You don't think so Okay never mind We could get an office My last one Was actually from that dinner With the detective boss man

[00:21:51] When they sat down He made a comment About Nicky Deloach there And he said He called Georgia beautiful In front of his wife That's right In front of Georgia's husband Just Greece is different Just I guess so Greece be different The guy I couldn't believe it You can be a twirl Yeah What are you What are you doing What are you doing What are you doing I couldn't believe it So it must be It must be a cultural thing That they just had to include Because I couldn't believe it Yeah What a move I I I just am so happy

[00:22:20] That We're still getting Like two Nicky Deloach movies Every year She's just such a staple She is a delight She's such a staple On the network And so I I love Getting the new Up and comers On the On the network Good mix Good mix is great Yeah Yeah Hopefully we We keep that up I I got a good giggle Out of how large The key was That was under the mat Dude it's a clown Size key That's a giant key

[00:22:50] Like at a certain point You can't put key We're going to need a bigger mat Yeah Cause it's gonna Rock under here Yeah There's a giant bump Under the mat I wonder if that's the key That key was ginormous That made me laugh I loved it Um I also loved That they shot The entire canal scene Overhead So that we could Uh Be Absolutely confident That they did not do that That they Yep That's right We didn't get a single

[00:23:20] Look from the side Them smiling at each other Uh Anything like that So That made me laugh Uh A lot Dano Uh Yeah So The first scene Without Nicky In this movie Is our leading man And his buddy Who are in police officer Uniforms walking And Listen I don't know A second language Don't laugh I don't know one These two guys You know Spanish I do know some Spanish But You did really good

[00:23:49] You learned a bit Last year I did You relearned it Yes Did you give up on that I do know some Spanish I did Uh Okay Because It was only The only time I had to do Was in the car And it just became Too much to do in the car I got to a point Where it was too hard To do in the car And I just Stopped Uh These two guys Both are crushing They've got all their dialogue Memorized in their second language And you know it's their second language Because later they both speak Greek And they speak very fast And It's amazing That they were able to get Through that whole scene

[00:24:20] My question is Who were Who were the torture wizards That came up with that Two Greek dudes In Greece Walking Talking about life Just broing out Broing out Why are they speaking English Why are they doing that There is no reason There's no world Where those two guys Are speaking English together Guys Well he's got to brush up on it Why are you making him do that

[00:24:49] Let him We can read subtitles For a scene That was brutal man Like when he's talking to Nicky It's adorable Because it's his second language And he's doing amazing When he's talking to his bro Why are they doing this It's like if you and I Had to try to stumble through A wait what segment In Spanish Just because That's mean That's mean spirited Yeah No gracias No gracias No gracias

[00:25:20] Pedro gracias No gracias De nada De nada Let's get to this guy That comes up That checks on all the married couples In town So We have a guy early That's like the power bill Isn't paid Then we have another Old Greek guy that comes And we sit They stay They loaded this gun Earlier in the movie Yeah This guy comes and checks You gotta pass this I thought it was gonna be Real funny times Yeah It isn't Nicky's there He's not there She First of all First wait what There's several here First wait what

[00:25:48] She thinks it's the same guy Yeah She thinks all Old Greek guys look alike As did I You thought it was the same guy I thought it was the same guy He's clearly not the same guy Nicky thinks it's the same guy She thinks all Old Greek guys look alike Well Atta boy Nicky But then this guy Proceeds to say I could do this Without coming out here Yeah But I come out here Because I think we all Have our own traditions And my tradition is To give out fertility nuts Okay Wow

[00:26:17] So my The thing The thing that I do The thing that I do here They represent fertility Purity And endurance Okay let's not leave The thing that I do here It's not just When I check to make sure Marriages are valid Here in our community Hold on your hand Is I knock on your door And I hand you a bag of nuts Drops the white nuts In our hand That represent fertility And some other things What is it? [00:27:46] If you say That's what I said though Brian When we were watching this Is He was thrown into the situation He was gonna make Her dinner It was gonna take time Maybe make the own But now I got the boss man Coming over I've gotta pull out the box In the morning He says In Greece Let me cook for you I have my mom's recipe It's homemade If he says that You're rolling out pasta I'm sorry That's in Greece, MoFo If you say that here You probably should Roll out pasta But look

[00:28:16] If you said it in Greenville We'd all be like Well they're boxed in the pasta Yeah of course He means the sauce They 100% Are pouring a Cardboard box Of pasta Into water Yeah Every person in Greece Is mad at you right now Every single one That's crazy They're clutching their nuts Yeah They're clutching their fertility nuts Their fertility nuts Yeah Somebody who doesn't have A family recipe of something Like I appreciate this I can just call Yeah Buy spaghetti Yeah Listen It's my family recipe

[00:28:45] If you're in Athens If you're out near the Necropolis They do this online They do this online They check on the married couples online It doesn't What I say Personally I'm here because I like to do my job this way In our community You're not married until you have a bag of my fertility nuts You're not There's nothing you can do about it This is my stamp At the very least you're not having babies Right What else Ridiculous So great Alright it's time for the What the hallmark

[00:29:13] That's where we wonder what could have been Maybe have them get some clarity Any questions we still have Like Did the nuts work I'll start with you Bry guy Yeah Mine was the fertility nuts For purity and endurance Because I thought they were just rocks And I'm like Oh that's weird And then I looked up All the Greek traditions That go along with Weddings And stuff There are so many You can't get married on certain days Or months And then I found out These are actually almonds There's certain months you can't get married? Yeah Or months that are best I think is what it was I got you I got you

[00:29:43] But these are just coated almonds I guess And that made me feel a little better about it But still It was a weird vibe To have an old man Handing her the white bag of things For somebody like you You look around the night You still get the fertility It's the thing It's like It's almost not fair Like It's like they only want certain people to reproduce And they're trying to phase out the weak ones I don't That's how it looks So I don't know I don't know Greece Side of the street I don't know Greece But also All her meals are free at that restaurant That's a pretty good deal

[00:30:12] To go to a country for Yeah All the time You know you're gonna be fed Jeez Free meals all the time 100% Listen We Get A bit Of clarity On her business situation She says I'm gonna stay here And I'm gonna keep working And I might get some international clients And look We've We got What she says Like I We got the money With me being over here I can do this That's right

Like this It It never Quite Like the friends Came around Was supportive Was like Go You go girl Like Figure out what you need to figure out Do your own work All that stuff But there There is still Frustration there With that Coworker Friends I would think so That's what I'm saying I felt like Yeah I felt like You could You could feel it Like this Yeah Attention Like I'm gonna Like obviously

[00:31:11] You're doing this So I'm gonna try to support you The best that you can I just wish that you were here To do the thing So does it work out? Does it work out? Does she end up selling Her half of the company To her? Like she's always selling Half of stuff that she owns She loves selling half She loves selling half So How does it work out? Because they did an interesting thing Where they They set up Yep Here's how it's gonna But with the setup It's still It gives me questions So That's what I'm wondering Dana So
