Lance Armstrong? Yeah. Lance Armstrong. He's not the bike rider? No, Lance is the bike rider. Lance Armstrong with Neil. Who's the one with one testicle? That's me. Okay. What? Do you have... He said Neil like one small step for man. Right.

[00:02:16] Lance is the one with one ball. Sorry, my bad. Live strong. Go ahead. I want to make it... Live strong, everybody. Here we go. I want to make it very clear. My... The comparison to Lance Armstrong only has to do with the fact that when I watch Gilmore Girls, I'm doping. Yeah. Fair. That's good. Really good. But you've seen the show many times. I think I was... I told somebody the other day that it's been seven intentional watch throughs.

[00:02:44] And then I was like, that might not be true. It's definitely six. But you're a thousand. That's like a thousand episodes. I mean, I did the math last night and was thinking about like how much of my life. And I think it's two full months of my life that I've been watching Gilmore Girls exclusively. So you've got to be a big fan of my takes. I'm thrilled. I just... I feel... I feel lucky to be here. Let me ask you, Justin. I love it. What do you think about the podcast Gilmore the Merrier than? Never heard of it. Nice.

[00:03:15] Justin, this is not a weapon. Okay? No, no. I see what you did there. I think the podcast is a blast as a fan, but... And I'm sure you guys can relate to this. It's really frustrating. Yeah. Because you're listening to like first time takes with no further context. And I'm going to try despite the Founders Day punch to not do any spoilers tonight. Oh, that'd be great. That'd be awesome. It's difficult to listen to it. Yeah. But what about me? What about me? What about me? Oh, okay.

[00:03:44] So I said something that I deeply, deeply regret saying, which is that I haven't heard every episode of the podcast, but I have heard all the episodes of the episodes that I like or love, which is a lot of them. What are you, a politician? Bran has like the only good taste. I agree. I agree. The guy that's seen the show before. That hurts me for multiple reasons because I hate telling Bran that he's right. But also, I love agreeing with Dan, ironically. That's right.

[00:04:13] So this is going to be towards me. Yes. Yeah. I watched season four forward in real time. Okay. Very good. There you go. All right. We're talking Gilmore Girls season two, episode 14. We just watched it in the room and we're going to talk about it now. It should have been Lorelai. It aired originally on February 12th, 2002, and then here like 42 minutes ago. And what else?

[00:04:41] It's like this Lorelai and Rory get to Luke's and no one is there. Just one of those lulls. He says, Rory tells Lorelai about her debate competition this week. Lane tells Rory, calls Rory at the diner. Naturally, Lane can see the diner with a telescope from her room where she is stuck because she's grounded. They head home to watch some random British baking show called Two Fat Ladies. That was crazy.

[00:05:09] But they're interrupted by Paris who showed up because she thinks that Rory needs more practice on the debate competition. Lorelai gets a call from Christopher. Turns out he's close by and she invites him to come to the debate competition. He says, he'll be there. The next day, Rory walks by a pay phone and naturally Lane calls and asks her to pick up a new single for her. You guys remember singles? Oh, yeah, man. Lane is not well.

[00:05:38] It is debate time. The topic is a light one. Doctor assisted suicide. Whoa. Shout out. Happy Bramble Fest. They do a coin flip to decide who is pro and who is con. Paris picks pro, of course. Christopher shows up with another woman. Chilton wins afterward. Lorelai and Suki, who is also there, of course, go to meet Christopher's girlfriend, Sherry.

[00:06:06] Lorelai and Rory come up with a game plan on how to handle this unexpected visit. And they invite them back to their place. Before they leave, Paris asks Rory to hang out and celebrate. But she can't, which really upsets Paris, if you can believe it. And then we never see Paris for the rest of the episode. Sherry pulls Lorelai aside and is like, you don't have to get to know me. Just because we both have had a relationship with Christopher doesn't mean that we have to be friends.

[00:06:34] But I really want to get to know Rory and ask if she can hang out with Rory that night, even though it's Friday night. So we all know what that means. Friday night dinner. Lorelai is like, sure. Why not? Lorelai talks to Rory and Rory says she's fine hanging out with Sherry. And so Lorelai asks if Christopher wants to come to dinner. And he's like, why not? What could go wrong? So crazy. Every time they get to dinner.

[00:07:02] And when Emily hears that Rory is just having the night with Sherry, she is not thrilled. Starts to interrogate Christopher about this Sherry. Then she bursts out that she doesn't think that Rory should miss Friday night dinner unless she is sick and she storms out. Lorelai goes after her and Emily is like, it should have been you. When Christopher finally gets his life together, it should have been you that he was with, not this Sherry.

[00:07:30] To make matters worse, Emily blames Lorelai for everything. She says she's going to go lay down. The next morning, Lorelai and Rory meet up at Luke's. Lorelai begs Rory for all the Sherry details. And she gives her all the deeds, including how Sherry wants kids. Lorelai asks Rory if she's ever, if she ever hopes that she and Christopher would be together.

[00:07:55] And Rory says, well, I pictured you being with dad, but I've also pictured you being with Pee Wee Herman and living in his playhouse. Fair. Fair. Before they get back to the serious convo, Rory has to run out to watch and make sure that her plan that she put in place to get Lane her single works, which includes Kirk stopping Mrs. Kim to talk to Michelle, to talk and Michelle jogging by and dropping the CD in the bag. Mission accomplished.

[00:08:21] Back at Luke's, Sherry and Christopher come by to say goodbye. Sherry leaves to say goodbye to Rory and Christopher sticks around to talk to Lorelai. Christopher apologizes to Lorelai about last night. And Lorelai says, you know what? I realized something last night that all these years I, I always had you in the back of my mind. The prospect of us being together. I think I subconsciously sabotaged every relationship I've ever had because I knew that you were there. Now that you're not, I can move on finally.

[00:08:51] Believe it or not. What? Doesn't handle that well that Christopher. He says, don't put that on me. You're dumping 15 years of you being unhappy on me. Uh-uh. I'm not having it. Don't blame me. This blow up is loud enough to where naturally Luke can watch on and do nothing. And that my friends was Gilmore Girls season two, episode 14. It should have been Lorelai. Yeah. We did it. We did it. Love it.

And may I speak on your behalf, Justin, my new best friend. You guys have welcomed us for our first official Bramble Fest with such open arms and it's so amazing and we appreciate it. Am I right? I completely agree. That meet and greet was unbelievable.

[00:10:20] That's my hot take that you guys were on. Wow. It was my favorite episode because of that. Who cares what happened? I wasn't even paying attention. Plus... Do you have notes? Yeah, Chad. So, Lorelei is realizing that Christopher has occupied, we obviously realize, more emotional space in her head than she might have wanted to admit to herself. And we're seeing, as first time viewers maybe, that that's why she's kind of not moving forward with all these relationships and maybe sabotaging that with Max, not moving forward with Luke. I thought that was really exciting and interesting that she came to that realization that we did.

[00:11:51] Also, like there was a lot of awkwardness and tension in this episode, which I find fun as we're watching, because I'm sitting there in the comfort of my hotel room upstairs, and I'm awkward and tense too, watching it, which is cool that you're invested in a show. So, like that, you know what it is. I really just want to have some Founders Day punch and hang out with everybody. That's my hot take. 100%. You guys rule. Thank you. That's good. Who cares? [00:12:20] I do want to hear your thoughts on Christopher in general, but also in this episode. So, friends, those of you who have watched, let's come closer, even if it's just spiritually, come closer to me. I love, not you, I need you to lean back. It's making me uncomfortable. Is it? Are you still mad at me about making the merch? I don't want to talk about making the merch anymore. Yeah, it's clear. I'm sorry. There's a bit of a crossover if you're not a Making the Merge listener and you're listening to this. Go and listen to the episodes.

[00:12:48] I got Royally, Lorelei, right? All right, let's go back to that. Right. So, what I love about this episode, my favorite episodes of Gilmore Girls are what I call Four Handers, and that's Paris, Emily, Rory, Lorelei, obviously. Interesting. And this is one of my favorites, but also one of the most frustrating because you're dealing with all of these characters at their absolute worst.

[00:13:14] And I think that if, especially if you're a repeat watcher, you go back and you watch this and it doesn't frustrate you. It makes you sad because like you clearly see all of these people in a difficult spot, except for Christopher and Sherry. And if you disagree with that, we are going to fight because I've been, again, drinking the founder's punch. So who knows what's going to happen? Nice. But Christopher is one of those characters, and I'm trying to remember where we are at this point, but he just seems to drop in when it's convenient.

[00:13:44] For him. For him. Only for him. Yes. I almost feel like if it were convenient for Lorelei and Rory ever, he'd be like, I don't know, I'm busy. It's, Christopher is a, Christopher is not a character. Christopher is something that happens every once in a while. Ooh. He's an idea. Yeah. Including sometimes longer than one episode. But. If you know, you know. But he is an idea of something that could have been that Lorelei also happens to have amazing chemistry with.

[00:14:13] Like when they're together. Yeah. Their chemistry is great, but it's great. I think they do a great job because they know, I mean, they had a child together. Right. And so it's this chemistry of two people that you don't want together. Right. And you know that he's not right for her and you don't want him around. But when he's around, it's like, dang it, they still have great chemistry. Well, Kate and I were talking in the audience earlier while we were watching the episode live and Christopher is such an enigma because he seems to know so much about these women

[00:14:44] despite having so little interest in consistently being in their lives. It feels, it feels manipulative. Do you think it undercuts that when the show writes in the, he calls her weekly and he like, they try to make him better. Randomly though. Oh, hold on. Wait, can we do our first ever Gilmore the Marrier standing ovation for a dad calling his daughter weekly? Yeah, I know, right, right, yeah. Wait, you guys don't want to stand up? Never mind. But you know what I'm talking about, right? Like they write these lines that want you to give him some sort of empathy.

[00:15:13] I don't, but I think that they are trying to make him not as bad as he is, but he's not a good human being. This is the guy who's never paid child support in 16 plus years. And she's got three mortgages on her house that's the foundation. Yeah. Yeah. It's, it's, it's, you know, it's tough. It's tough out there. In a better world, the termites would get help. So I, uh, yeah, this is an interesting episode because so much of this episode is just you just being like, Oh, don't say that. Don't do that.

[00:15:43] Like when they get, when she says, Hey, do you want to come to Friday night dinner? No, just say no. Why would you ever, why would you ever want to go back into that house after what happened last time, which was earlier this season? I think when they went to the house and it was a whole thing. I, uh, I don't know why you would ever do that. And then Emily, once you, once you, she's so good.

[00:16:04] Once she sees or hears that Rory is with Sherry, her, her performance in that moment is so good. Like, so like the, her face changes the way that she responds is changes. It's so funny. It's so awkward. So uncomfortable. Uh, and then, yeah, I mean the way that the, the, when this is classic Lorelai, when Lorelai does that whole speech at the end of this episode, it's just like, dude, you just, what are you doing?

[00:16:34] Just like, so like, I think she's doing it on purpose. Like she's gotta know that the way that she's saying this and communicating this to Christopher is going to bother him. I don't believe for a second that she just doesn't. It's crazy. It's wild. I like the episode. It's a lot of fun. But before I give a hot take, what about Rory is absolute worst in this one? Like she's just like helping Lane get a single and like doing debate and going out with Sherry. Very fair clarification.

[00:17:04] Um, Rory is almost kind of ironic because she is annoying a lot of the time. And she's great in this episode. She's kind of great. She's, it's like peak Rory in this episode. Peak Rory. If you take on Emily and put in Suki, I'm that, that would be my forehander there. Yeah. 100%. Yeah. Good friend in this episode. Good daughter in this episode. Yeah. Rory. Yeah. Really good. Absolutely. So it's crazy because for months we thought we were going to be doing episode 13 this evening, uh, a Tisket, a Tasket, which I think would have been a very different episode of

[00:17:33] Gilmore the Marrier because it might be my favorite episode so far of the series. It's definitely top three. It's fantastic. It's I said top three. It's up there with that, that one. Yeah. So like it, that episode is like, in my opinion, the best of what this show has to offer. Everyone's in stars hollow for most of the episode. You get all of these characters like Kirk and Taylor who come by, but you get Suki, you get Rory, you get Lorelai, you get Paris, you get all these characters. And it's like the silliness of the picnic basket.

[00:18:03] And you get the first, in my opinion, positive Luke Lorelai thing that I'm like, oh, this could really work. Jess is really good in that episode. It's a, you know, it, there's so much that's really great here. Yeah. This episode is conversely really a downer. I mean, since that didn't air yet, do you want to do that episode instead? Well, I would love to, but we can't. We unfortunately, we watched it. And I say that to juxtapose it with this one, which is we're even, even debating doctor

[00:18:32] assisted suicide as the lighthearted part of this episode. Christopher's in town with his new girlfriend. You get peak terrible Lorelai, peak terrible Emily and peak terrible Christopher, which is all the time. Um, and so it's tough. It's not one of my favorite episodes of television. It's not one of my favorite episodes of Gilmore Girls, but I told, uh, I think it was Ryan in the green room. The thing that makes this show so incredibly good is good television, like brings you strong emotion.

[00:19:02] So I didn't, I didn't look at this episode or I never looked at Gilmore Girls and go, this is stupid. I get angry at characters on Gilmore Girls, but the fact that the show brings out that emotion should tell you that it's doing its job regardless of how we feel about characters. And so this episode is not nearly as good as a tiskit a taskit, but the anger that I feel on behalf of certain characters and for certain characters in this episode should tell you that the show is clicking on all cylinders, even though it's not one of my favorite episodes.

[00:19:32] It's time for all the feels. It's where we talk about a line in this episode or a moment or whatever that gave us feels. Let's start with you chat. Episode 13 or 14? 14. 14. Cause I've got feels from both. Okay. Uh, episode 13, 14, Luke sees Lorelai and Rory walk in to the empty diner in the morning. They're doing this whole thing with the empty thing where they're going to sit. And Luke just goes, call me if anyone's saying walks in. I thought that was really funny. Yeah. And I was thinking it too. Uh, Richard.

[00:20:03] I think everybody was with you there, Chad. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you. My other one, uh, was Richard, which is also kind of a wait. What? He doesn't never heard of Metallica and they're talking about the Volvo. It's nice and it's safe. And Metallica sounds great in it. And Richard's like, what is that? Some kind of a drug. And he's like, so he had no idea. Yeah. So I just thought that was funny, uh, because they're so out of touch. Although he's a man of the world. He would know like Metallica, right? Yeah. He reads the paper every day. No. Yeah. I said, he's not a man of the world.

[00:20:32] He had never had pizza, right? Well, he's in the business world. I, but in particular, like the line cranking Metallica. Yeah. Is that a drug reference? Yeah. It's not funny. It's so good. Yeah. Richard delivers such great lines. Um, I really liked when, um, she's not sure if Rory would want to go. To hang out with Sherry. And so she calls and then they go back and forth. It's Leonard's. And then one of them, like, uh, they both have a friend named Leonard.

[00:21:01] Christopher's like, who was that? Whose friend is it? It's Leonard. And they say, it's both of our friends. It's a mutual Leonard. Love it. Love it. Shout out mutual Leonard. Love that. Justin live. Mutual Leonard live. I was going to say mutual Leonard. Great name for a man. Really good. Really good. Especially like a Leonard Skinner. Yeah. It's a mutual Leonard. Everybody has a mutual love of Leonard. All mutual of Omaha's. It's all insurance covers. Yeah. Go ahead. Anyway, how many people here were like box set people? Yeah. Like you had the box sets.

[00:21:30] Do you remember the booklets that would explain the pop culture references? Yeah. I swear I had four parents growing up. Wendell Kirkland, Kathy Kirkland, Amy Sherman Palladino, Daniel Palladino. Yeah. Like they like taught me the world and I'm always obsessed when they say something that I have to look up. So when Paris goes, let's not harbor any Pinterest fantasies, Rory. She's so stupid. She's so stupid. Like, like what 16 year old is like, hold on, let me call on this British playwright that's

[00:21:56] known for these long dramatic pauses in a quick, like smart witty thing like she's written. And I just think some of the like, you can learn about American pop culture. If you just listen to the, to the show and look up every reference, I swear you'll know, you'll know like everything that's ever been on TV, on the radio, everything. I agree. I look something up every episode. It's so good. Yeah.

[00:22:20] Um, you know, I'm not a huge Luke fan and, uh, I have some issues with him and I, that is true. Thank you. It's a good reading too. I, uh, I, um, I, I have some issues at the end of the episode with Luke for sure. But, um, Luke is starting to give references as good as he gets, which was not prevalent early in this show. Like he throws what Chad said out. He also throws an outer limits reference out in this episode.

[00:22:50] And it's like, I feel like, you know, part of my issue was there was some incongruency between what Luke and Laura like kind of bring to the table. And I feel like they're trying to balance that out some. Uh, and so that was nice to see. I'm real pissed at Luke at the end of this, but we'll get to that in the way. What? All right. [00:23:20] Welcome back to Gilmore, the Marrior. We're having a good time today. I think I bramble fast. Yeah. Everybody's trying. Yeah. They're talking about what in this episode, minutes ago. I'll start you with you, Chad. Thank you. Christopher was a big wait. What on this episode? He is so concerned about Sherry getting to know Rory. Meanwhile, he's not concerned himself about getting to know Rory. So that was a major wait. Maybe he's just trying to look good in front of Sherry. I don't know. So that was a major one.

[00:23:49] And also, Lane's punishment includes unlimited access to the Sama Day hotline. It was a major wait what? That was what I'd like to call live on air. And then of course, Richard not knowing who Metallica is. Come on. You can't be that out of it. I didn't. That didn't phase me. I thought that made sense that he wouldn't know who Metallica was. What did you guys think? I get it. You mean Justin? I just told you what I thought. I get it. I understand that he wouldn't know who Metallica is. Yeah. Even though I don't know.

[00:24:17] They didn't talk about him down at the office. They don't talk about the club. We're not going to take the paper every day. You know, they're mentioned in there. I think they're huge by then. I don't know. Let's bring in the papers. Yeah. Let's go see. Let's go see. Justin, anyway, what? Okay. So I want to have an honest conversation about Sherry. Yeah. If that diva walked into my kitchen and was like, you don't need to know me. You don't need to be my friend. But your daughter is going to be a big part of my life. Thanks for the first 16 years. What a power move.

[00:24:46] I would be like, you can take your maybe expired apple juice, regardless of what I said, and hit the road, sister. Like, get out of here. Yeah. And the other wait what is the audacity of Chris in that final scene looking at her and being like, I'm sorry that I had to carry any emotional baggage for like three seconds. Get out of here, brother. Head back to Boston. I'll see you in like six years when you decide you want to be a dad again. Yeah. There you go. Yeah.

[00:25:17] Leave a check on your way. Yeah. Yeah. She's three mortgages. Is that anything else? No, I feel like that kind of captures it. I'll give a pass to everybody else. But Christopher and Sherry, I do want to make it clear. I mean, this, as you can tell from what Christopher said, this is not the last that you newbies will see of Sherry. Right. And I can't wait to hear what you think of this lovely business lady.

[00:25:42] It's only, only in a show like Gilmore Girls would a character like Sherry be as just abruptly like blunt about, I don't need you, like what you said. Like I was, it would have been shocking in any other TV show, but in this show, it's like, let's get to this right now. I will say that the way I relate to Sherry is that I often get complimented on my smooth dresses and my great legs. So, you know, we do what we can. Yeah. Hey, I've been thinking about your legs. Go on. Yep. I'm listening. Thank you so much.

[00:26:11] Highlighted the face. I have a feeling that this was tongue in cheek when Paris comes in and talks about how Rory has to learn how to talk faster. That's hysterical. Yeah. Really funny. Have you seen this show? It's nuts. They talk so fast. This was crazy to me. Richard is talking to Christopher finds out about Sherry.

[00:26:38] He says to Christopher, I bet she's pretty. And then winks at him. Yikes. The man who knocked his teenage daughter up is talk is like, Hey, I bet your new girl is pretty. Winky. Yeah. What the heck, Richard? You weirdo. Yeah. Weirdo. That's nuts. Your daughter's right here. Crazy thing to do. Yeah. Richard's out of pocket here. And then my last one is I found this fascinating.

[00:27:08] Emily gets very up in arms about everything. Yep. She goes to leave. She's, she's out of here. I'm going to go lay down is what she says. And then we find out the next day as Lorelai is talking to Rory that apparently after a little bit of time, Emily came back down to eat with everybody. That's crazy. That's crazy to me. She was hungry. Can you imagine being so upset with your family that you go and take a little nappy and then come back and go, it's chow time.

[00:27:38] It's just power through. Wake up hungry. I know, but you got to wait until everyone goes. Have you never had like an angry disco nap? Yeah. Where you're like, no, you're like, I'm, I'm ungovernable right now. I'm going to go lay down and see if I can come back and be a human. I feel like she had a Snickers moment. Yeah. Yeah. You know what? I don't operate like that. I'm not a big, like, get really mad and then storm out of the room type of guy. And show up for dinner. And then show up for dinner.

[00:28:07] I usually just like hold back my feelings and eat dinner. Right. You know what I mean? I mean, this is coming from the guy that got voted out at making the merge thing, ran away, took a nap, came back, had dinner. So I mean, like, spades of spades. [00:28:31] Lane and Rory talking about acquiring a new single CD in 2002 is just on the cusp of being a conversation that will never happen again. And I'm not saying it's wrong. I'm saying that in 2002, I had already downloaded music from Napster and LimeWire. It's I'm not saying it's wrong that they talked about it. Social network over here. I'm not saying that I'm not saying that I'm wrong. I'm saying that as far as a time, what everybody calm down.

[00:29:02] You don't have a microphone. Just calm down. I'm saying that this is like the last vestige of this. If this happens a year or two later, it's completely crazy. So it felt like a time capsule to me to watch them both trying to acquire a CD with a single song on it, which was something that I stopped doing probably around 2000 would be my guess there. So it was less of a wait, what? It was like a wait. I didn't know where to put it. What? I didn't know where to put it.

[00:29:30] But it being a plot point in 2002, I felt like was a interesting for teenagers to be doing that. If I was like almost 20 and already downloading music, it was weird for me that that was happening right now. Oh my gosh, you were almost 20 in 2002? I know, crazy, right? Dude, he's so freaking old, it's not. It's wild. Chad's only 29. That's wild, yeah. Yeah, you are young. You're in the wrong crowd. He's old. Yeah.

[00:29:56] I will say, I mean, obviously I hate arguing with Dan and that's not even ironic. Like I love being in sync with Dan. Sometimes when we have extra time, we just walk in sync with each other and it's amazing. No, yeah. But I love those little moments and it is such a time capsule because I remember I wasn't nearly cool enough to listen to Belle and Sebastian. I think I was getting like, this is me by the band Dream, which is like, what a cool pull. Yeah. There's three of you that know who that is and you feel passionate about it.

[00:30:25] But like, yeah, I thought it was a nice little time capsule, especially Gilmore Girls. I do love that Michelle would be the last person to help them pull this call off. That's not believable at all. Yeah, I get you. The last person you would call is Michelle. But it was real funny. It was really funny. Most of the cultural drop-ins in Gilmore Girls age really well. Done everything aside from slap a Dr. Dre ankle bracelet on me does not age well. It does not and shouldn't have been written.

[00:30:55] Sorry, not sorry. I can't believe Christopher and Suki have never met. That was a big way. Brand said it in his synopsis, but Christopher doesn't come to town often. But Suki and Lorelai have been best friends for forever. He has come to town a number of times. It was really shocking to me that they had never crossed paths. They might have been for an event something for Rory. Like something somewhere you would think that they would do that. Sometimes. Yeah.

[00:31:22] I also thought it was pretty crazy that both Sherry and Christopher make decisions that create scenarios that are just downright absurd. Like Sherry's like, what if I take your daughter so you can spend some quality time with your baby mama? And then Christopher's like, yeah, I'll go over to your parents' house for sure, which Brand said. Both of those things I was like, I don't feel it. These two characters are very confident in who they are.

[00:31:50] But it was wild to me to watch them come into town and go, all right, so here's the deal. I'm going to go to Richard and Emily's. They love me. Especially Emily. And you're going to go. I was over there a couple months ago with my parents. It went great. You're going to steal some alone time with Rory and talk about wanting to have kids. Ready? Break. That's a crazy thing to do. That's a crazy back and forth to have when you come to town for one day. And then my boy Brad, squeamish around Paris. Paris owns that man. It's fantastic.

[00:32:20] I, Brad is shocked. Brad used to go to Chilton. Yes? Yeah. He sure did. He's shocked to see Paris on the debate team. Why? He's like, oh my God, Paris is here. Isn't that Paris' whole thing is debate? Yeah. What about Paris would make you think she's not going to be on the debate? Yeah, yeah. Like he should have known. She was born for it. Brad should have been no sleep the previous night because he knew he would have to see his nemesis Paris that day. And instead he's shocked to find that she debates, which was pretty crazy to me. That's all I got.

[00:35:09] The way that she just flashes those big blue eyes and does something really innocent and says something awful, you got to watch. It'll hit you on your third watch. What the heck is going on with Gilmore Girls and Twin Peaks? Wow. It is truly insane. Wow. This is too much. Two for two. I'm not exaggerating when I say that the back room of Twin Peaks video is the same red room of Twin Peaks. It's nuts. I don't know what's going on there. I find it very suspicious. So, we're clearly in this Luke-Lorelei world where it was popular in the early 2000s to make two people that you're supposed to end up together, supposed to pull for, like, not be together for years and years. Is this where you get us a four-star review? Well, I'm sure I've gotten us more than one. No. Yeah. I, Luke, early in this episode made me really happy. In the last scene, Lorelei does this thing where she's being not great, but Christopher

[00:36:37] is like, I call and raise. I'm also a terrible human being. I'm the worst human being. And he, like, embarrasses her in Luke's, like, embarrasses her. And Luke, who is not a guy who can shoot his shot and he's nervous and Lorelei had a kid and they've known each other a long time and I know there's reasons for that, is sitting there, and the one thing he is, is a guy that is present.

[00:37:00] And he's sitting there with his pad and he looks and watches everyone get quiet and Lorelei just get blessed out by this dude who is a no-rent sack of crap. And he looks back down and keeps riding like it's none of his business. Yeah, look. Grow a pair. Absolutely. Get it together and walk over there and ask that guy if he has a problem right now. I couldn't believe this guy did nothing. That is, if you don't have feelings for her in that way, she's still your best friend

[00:37:30] in the world. Go and just see if she's okay or be present. Be the Luke that you're capable of being. And if you're not going to be that, then let's just shut down Luke's diner and go somewhere else. Wow. Wow. Wow. You don't think this was enough? Yeah. So that was a cheeseburger.
