[00:00:03] This is a Bramble Jam Podcast. Not again. Gilmore! Ariel! The... La la la la la. Great to be back this week. Episode 4.

[00:00:33] Man, cruising right along here in Season 2, Chad, you're back again. Why? The traffic was light. The traffic was light. You woke up this morning, you took a gander at the old app and you said, you know what, I can get there. I can get there in a scant five hours, especially if I don't stop. We're going to scant five hours. And it's May 20th. I mean, our kids finished school in two days, Bran. Memorial Day is around the corner. It's about vacation time here and you're still driving down.

[00:00:58] I wonder what will happen next week when we're on vacation, Bran, if Chad will somehow meet us here in the studio next week. I bet we're going to... Like in Stars Hollow, there's like a weird time-space continuum. We'll figure it out. You think that's going to happen? Yeah. I think so. Wow. Interesting. I only brought one shirt though, guys. Okay. So you think next week, Bran will be at the beach. I'll be at the beach, different beach.

[00:01:21] You will be at the beach in Wilmington, but then we'll all somehow be here in the same clothes we're wearing right now. Yeah, I do. What a prediction. Yeah. What a prediction by you. What a specific prediction. Yeah, really? It's crazy. Yeah, that's true. Yeah. It is great to be here cruising right along in season two, which is hard to believe. Hard to believe. But this is kind of the part of the season where it's like, where are we going? Max is gone.

[00:01:51] Max is gone. We're all right. We're going to... Max isn't gone. The wedding's gone. Sure. The wedding's gone. Correct. I'm fascinated to see where we go. Why delay? That's what I say. Are we ready to dive in? That's what I say. Let's dive in. We got anything new? Yeah, yeah. No, unfortunately. So it's been kind of a drought. So if you've been thinking like, I'm waiting for the boys to need to pick me up for my review. Right. Now is the time. Yeah. You were saying just before how much you needed to pick me up. I do.

[00:02:20] And those reviews are the only things that are keeping me going. That's right. Yeah. Right in my veins. So go to the Gilmore the Marrier feed, not necessarily the Deck the Hallmark feed. No, that's where you complain about me and Richard and Emily. Exactly. Go to the Gilmore the Marrier feed for just the five stars. Five stars. Yes. Exactly right. Beautiful. Yes. That's exactly right. All right. Season two, episode four. It's called Road Trip to Harvard. Ooh. Harvard. It originally aired on October 23rd of 2001 on the WB and it went a little something like this.

[00:02:48] We're road tripping everybody. Road trip. But the Gilmore girls are not road trippers. Rory's like, we need to have a plan. Lorelai's like, we need better music. Lorelai calls Suki to tell her that the wedding is off. Good thing Suki hasn't already made the biggest cake ever though. All right. Oh, it's tough. They decide to spend the night at this random B&B and are disgusted by how many flowers

[00:03:18] there are in their room. That night they get into an argument. Rory thinks, Mom, you made a mistake. I think that you love Max. Lorelai insists she does not and that she is confident that she made the right decision. After fighting off the other B&B folks, they escape and decide on a destination. Harvard. What better time to check out your future school than when we're just trying to avoid people. We're going to go to Harvard.

[00:03:48] They have the best time. Rory thinking about her future. Hopping into classes. Chiming into the lively conversation. I tell you what. You love to see it. It's time to head back into town though. And clearly everybody already knows about the breakup. People wave sadly. Patty cries. It's a lot. It's time for Friday night dinner. And she tells Emily that the wedding is off. And honestly, Emily handles it pretty well.

[00:04:17] She goes to talk to Luke and they have a moment, you know, about the, the, the, what is it called again? The Hoopa. Hoopa. Hoopa. Try it again. Naturally. Hoopa. There you go. Naturally though, Luke, it's pretty hard for him to even hide his excitement about the fact that this wedding is not happening. Lane is back and Rory tells Lorelai that she needs to hang out with Lane and catch up.

[00:04:42] And so to make sure that Lorelai doesn't have to spend any time by herself with her thoughts, she immediately calls Suki because it's time to start talking about opening our own inn. And that was Gilmore Girls Season 2 Episode 4 Road Trip to Harvard. Road Trip to Harvard. We're going to take a break. We're going to come back. We're going to break this episode down here on Gilmore the Marrier.

[00:05:08] Hello, everybody. It's great to be here today. Gilmore feels right. It does. The Marrier. Mm-hmm. Dan got me jacked up on cuppa, by the way. Cuppa. Cuppa. Here's what I want to challenge. That's not cuppa. No. Cuppa. It's a different thing. Okay. And it's pronounced Coupa and I didn't want to correct you, but that's, you know, just. Right, right. I just got word that today's Blitz Day, everybody. It's a Blitz Day? It's a Blitz Day.

[00:05:34] Everybody is going to send the podcast to a friend of theirs that maybe likes the podcast. Each one. Right. Right. Yeah. So that, I didn't know that. I just got word. It's Blitz Day. You got word from the folks upstairs. Right. Corporate. Yes. Okay. Corporate got in touch, which they try. They're pretty hands off. We don't get micromanaged around here, but corporate got in touch and said, you need the Blitz. Don't forget the Blitz. I didn't know about the Blitz day. It wasn't. The big boss called this in. Wow. Wow. Sorry, God. He's in Ireland.

[00:06:05] He's in Ireland. Yeah. Is he like the dealer in the, is it the dealer and dealer? No deal. Yeah. The banker. Oh yeah. The dealer. No deal. No, I'm going to go with the dealer. Deuces. It's one of the faces. You're wild. It's time for us to share our thoughts on this episode. Episode four of season two road trip to Harvard. It's time for the hot take. It's where we share exactly how we felt about this episode. Chad, what'd you think? Oh, you know, this was the classic Gilmore girl switch up. We go from a really heavy. Classic Gilmore switch up. Yeah.

[00:06:35] To a lighter episode. This one was not my favorite. Definitely my least favorite of the four so far this season, because the, the last episode, the first three of the season, we're just chock full of storylines. Yeah. Every minute counted. This one was like the entire thing was kind of filler, but probably an appropriate breather after the first three, what we need to just kind of go back and get to just the core of Lorelei and Rory.

[00:07:00] It was definitely giving horror movie vibes with the Airbnb gifts gifts and the slow pan out scene over the bed. Very Hitchcockian. Yep. And, uh, Hitchcockian. Right. You're right. My bad. I don't want to step in here. Yeah. Yeah. Hitchcockian. Right. That's right. That was his cousin. Uh, Larry Hitchcockian. Right. You've met him? Yeah. Yeah. Good guy. So the, uh, the other thing was, it was just very interesting when it ends this episode,

[00:07:29] there's a lot of filler going on. Uh, Lorelei sees Rory moving on, talking to Lane about going to Harvard. Lorelei now is single, not going to get married this time. She doesn't know what to do. Again, she's very impetuous. She's, she's like, let's call Sookie. Let's go forward with the inn. You don't know if she does it. She just makes these grand pronouncements. Yeah. But that was it. All of a sudden she realized like, wow, I have nothing. Rory's moving on. I'm still here. So there we go. So it did end where it sets up a lot. So good episode. Not as great as the last few though. It couldn't have been. Yeah.

[00:07:58] These are like kind of my least favorite Gilmore girl episodes. The one where they're primarily, it's just Lorelei and Rory. Like that's like to me, Gilmore girls, obviously it is about them, but the, the, we've, we've raved about the cast of characters that this show has. And we do get other characters, but it's like the, the B and B people that they spend some time with or the B, the random people. Over half this episode is just the two of them.

[00:08:24] And so, yeah, these are the episodes where it's like, yeah, I mean, I, I get why this episode exists, but I, it is tough. You know, when, when you are as high as we were on episode three, like that episode was clicking on all cylinders. This episode is, uh, you know, removed from that. I think this is a fine episode, but following it up, it's just, it's so hard to do. Um, but you know what? It is what it is. It happens and it's fine.

[00:08:54] But, uh, this is, uh, if I was going to like watch a one-off, it would not be this episode of, uh, Gilmore girls. This reminded me of the Sopranos episode where Tony takes Meadow to go visit a college. Do you remember that one? I do remember this. But Lorelei just didn't strangle someone at the end. That's right. Yeah. There's no murder in this one. I was waiting. Yeah. It could have happened. That one Airbnb guest. Yeah. It could have been. Yeah. There were some elements that maybe could have turned. That would have been great. Uh, Dan, what'd you think? Yeah. This one's not good. Um, I, I, I would go a step further than just saying this isn't my favorites to saying

[00:09:24] it wasn't good. I didn't, I, I act like very few episodes of Gilmore girls. What else have I not liked? And I didn't like this episode. Um, I didn't like it because of the Hootie and the Blowfish slander. Um, I didn't like it because it felt, I know that Lorelei is a character that people get frustrated with. And Rory is a character people get frustrated with. We've heard this from a lot of people who've tried out to spoil things, but they're like, these two characters are problematic. They're frustrating.

[00:09:51] This is really the first time where I'm like, I don't really what, how Lorelei is acting is gotta start wearing on people like this constant. I understand the character motivations and I think it's well written, but like this, like I'm getting married. I quit. I'm leaving. I'm doing this. Let's just drive. How dare you use a map? Now we're stuck. Now we're going to go here. I'm going to fake like I'm in college. Now I need to see who can help play in the end. Now I got to blah, blah, blah. Me, me, me, me, me. Like this was the first episode where I'm like, just stop.

[00:10:20] Just please, please, please stop. And I know that that's the point. And kudos to Amy Sherman Palladino for not writing a normal things have all changed episode. But instead having someone kind of escape their problems. I think on paper, this looks like a really great episode. It's just not the stuff in the end. The bed and breakfast wasn't funny enough or scary enough to really work. The Harvard stuff was stupid. I thought it was stupid. Like I thought the dude hitting on her and then them sneaking into the dorm.

[00:10:49] I just thought it was dumb. Like I didn't need it. I felt like I wanted to be back in stars hollow and her having to listen. Listen, Lorelai can be a sympathetic character and still have to answer for her breaking off a wedding at the last minute. I mean, Julia Roberts did it for an entire movie and runaway bride and everyone still loved Julia Roberts. You can be sympathetic and be wrong. It's fine. This version of it was just actively bad. I there's nothing about this episode.

[00:11:17] She even goes back and they get we get just enough of Emily to be like, why'd you throw her in there? And then like, I don't know. And Suki just takes it so well and not in like a she's a great friend way in a like, does she even know Lorelai way? I just kind of it kind of put me off. I really I really didn't like this episode. Your least favorite least favorite. Maybe the series. Wow. Yeah. You off. Yeah. Yeah. I was really put off by I'm all the way off. I was put off by this. You almost quit the show. I almost quit the show. Yeah.

[00:11:46] You guys had to talk me off a ledge. Uh huh. You were painting. That's right. Metaphor. Now that works, too, because we were exactly back. It's time for all the fields. We're talking about a line that really slapped in this episode, Chad. This line was fantastic and it really sums up Lorelai and she gets it. She was self-aware. She said, you'd have to dig up Freud himself to figure me out. And I thought that was a funny line. It was early on and is also what a lot of us are thinking.

[00:12:14] You know, she's got a lot of layers going on here and she can't even figure herself out. We can't. I thought it was a good summation. If you dig up Freud, would he be helpful? Is another question at this point. I don't think it works that way. Sure. No, no, I don't think that's what you don't know. We don't know. We can. We can weekend at Bernie's him. Yeah, right. Dress him up and see if we could like do the hand motions and stuff and see if that help. I do have an announcement. Oh, good. Yeah. Great. Great. We are going to. One night only. One night only. One night only.

[00:12:44] We're in the dunk tank. By the way, saw him live. Ford in the dunk tank live. You did, yeah. Was incredible. Oh my God. Really? You guys liked him? Unbelievable. Really good show. I learned a lot too. I learned a lot too. It looks fantastic. Really? Yeah. How do you spell that name? His mom? Doister. Oh, okay. Right. Weren't they called Pink Freud for a while, but now they're just. Yeah. That's actually Dunkin' for a cover band. Yeah. Oh, right. Okay. Gotcha. Yeah. All female led Dunkin' for a cover band. Really? Wow. Makes me. I mean, some songs work.

[00:13:15] Yeah. How's Brent Hostess doing? Is he around? What is this? God, the almighty. Chad, put some respect on his name, Brett Debbie. His name's Brett Debbie. He grew up in a house made of, like, do the math and have some respect. Right. You're right. Yeah. How would you have made it if Nutty Bars were the legs to your table? Right. Like, how would you have done it? It would have been a delicious upbringing. It would have been, yes, but it would have been tough. But do the math. I'm with you. Okay. Should have asked for Elmo. He always wins. He was better. Yeah, he's better than that.

[00:13:42] So not everything in the B&B worked. And by not everything, I mean most stuff for me didn't work in the B&B. Right. But when they get there and they go into the room and she sees all the flowers, they're like, this is the most flowers ever. Lorelai says, like, are they moving? Talking about the wallpaper. And then the lady goes, yes, actually, I think it's the wallpaper. And she explained, like, what the wallpaper, like, what's behind the wallpaper that makes it.

[00:14:08] It was funny to me because it's like, not an optical. Instead of taking as an insult, the lady is proud. Yeah, yeah, yeah. She's actually quite proud about this. I'm happy you noticed. Yes, absolutely. That was good. Deanne? Yeah, early on there's a scene where Lorelai and Rory are leaving town and she calls Suki to tell her the wedding's off. Hopefully you haven't started on the cake. Well, Suki has made a four layer cake. It could be five. It could be six. It could be Buster. It could be Job. They made a big cake.

[00:14:38] And, you know, it does the takes the high road. It's like, no, I haven't started lies, blah, blah, blah. And then hangs up the phone. And then she says a line that I really love, which is, you were a good cake, Clyde. I never should have named you. I think it is like a great little bit of absurdity in there just to remind you that that charm of like, yeah, why did you, why would you name the cake?

[00:15:00] She's also so funny in that phone call where she's like telling the person like, she starts cutting it, handing it out. Totally nonplus. Doesn't miss a beat. No, no, no. Really, really good stuff. That's my moment. Like, are you kidding me? Yeah, no, nothing. Nothing. Nothing. I love that she, right. Only Suki can name a cake and pull it off. Like, it would be weird if anyone else did. And then be like, I never should have named you, which I think was a very important tag there. Right, right. It's really funny. Yeah. All right. Let's take a break. We'll come back. We'll get to the way one. Yeah. Thank you.

[00:15:30] Get more than mayor. There it is. Whenever you're ready. There we go. It's a long one. Yeah. It's a long break. Hi, everybody. Welcome back. We're talking about Get More Than Are Me. Get More Girls Season 2 Episode 4. Are you auctioning off the Get More Girls? Get More Than Are Me. Get More Than Are Me. Get More Than Are Me. I would never do that. You would never do that. It's time for the way one. It's where we talk about what in this episode made us go away what. Chad?

[00:16:01] Favorite. Oh, we're doing, wait, what? We already did favorite line. We already did favorite line. I have so much. Yeah. So my wait, what was, Rory walks into the classroom in Harvard. It's a full class. And the professor's like, hey, you're late. Sit down, whatever. Like you would walk out in embarrassment. You would walk out knowing you're not there. Rory just takes a seat and sits down for the whole lecture. Yeah. Which you can't just do. I mean, I would say this. Like we, I took some classes with so many people that I don't think the professor knew

[00:16:30] anybody by name. Right, right. You could just roll in and do it. But the fact that she sat there, because she wasn't planning on that, right? She just kind of got stuck in the classroom. Yeah. Maybe she, you're right. I would have left. I would have left for sure. Right. So, you know, there's that. I don't know. It was fun. It was fun though, hearing her debate the other students, the whole discussion was interesting talking about stoicism and Seneca and materialism. I wish they could have gone on with that. It might've been a better episode, but she also the other wait, what was, and this is I don't know, wait, what are just, I was like felt it.

[00:16:59] Emily goes, they didn't tell Emily again. They didn't tell her she's getting married. They didn't tell Emily she wasn't getting married. No. No. A couple big wait, what's there? Poor Emily. Yeah. I know you don't think poor Emily, but. No, I never think poor Emily. Right. I did. I felt for her there. No. I mean, I thought poor Max. Poor Max, for sure. Maybe we'll get a call at some point. Maybe some sort of conversation, but throughout this whole episode, like, does, does Max even know? Yeah.

[00:17:27] I mean, he does, because the whole town knows when they get back. Right. But he's out of town. But he's out of town. He's out of town. He's out of town. He might show up for the wedding. Yeah. Like what, what, how does, how did he find out about this? It is such a non deal for this television show to, to, to let the viewer know how Max reacts to the news. Yeah. They have, it's almost like they're purposely avoiding it. Like you said, it's not about the guys. It just isn't about it. Yeah. But then like, I'm still. We should be able to see his reaction. You would think.

[00:17:56] I'm still foggy though on timeline because when they go over for Friday night dinner, she says something. And Emily is like, you have the wedding coming up this weekend. And that's right. The next day. When is this? When was the wedding supposed to be so fast? The weddings in the wedding. The wedding. The week it is. We can't go on a road trip. You're getting married in two days is what Rory said. And then they get back in two days and it's still Friday. And in school. Yeah.

[00:18:26] I don't know. I don't know. Right. So the road trip had to be Wednesday, Thursday. Dinner was Friday. Wedding Saturday. But the road trip couldn't be Wednesday because they said you're getting married in two days, which would make it a Friday wedding, not a Saturday wedding. The road trip had to be Thursday. Right. Or Wednesday into Thursday. Maybe it was so close to. I don't know. I don't know. Interesting. But then also like the whole heart, like I don't want to keep bringing up 9-11, but here I go. We talked about it.

[00:18:54] Like this is October 2001. What they're doing on the campus of Harvard, like sneaking into people's rooms. I just like this must have been a pre pre 9-11 film before. Right. So it's just this, though, the security on the Harvard campus. I know that like college is different. Obviously, I didn't spend a lot of time in college, but at some point security would have been caught on them. Right. Like sneaking into somebody's room.

[00:19:24] They're in the dorms. They're in the classrooms. They're in the quad out there. They're just a part of like nobody. This girl walks in late, picks an argument with the professor and then leaves. Right. Sneaks out of the rest of the class. No one's like, hey, what? Who was that line meshed? Really like I think my problem with the episode is, is when you're in stars hollow, you suspend a lot of disbelief because this town is very small and they all gather all the time.

[00:19:52] It's random stuff happening. First traffic light. Everyone knows everyone. But when you try to do those same bits at Harvard, it just kind of takes you out of that. Yeah. Right. Yeah. It didn't fit. I get what you're saying. Yeah. Right. It was an interesting episode. Not the time to go to Harvard. I understand they needed a break in to get away, but it didn't fit. It was kind of jackhammered in compared to how great the other episodes were. Dano, anyway, what's? Yeah. You eat the bottom cake tier first. Is that something you can do?

[00:20:20] I feel like if the bottom tier is wider and the top tiers are skinnier and you eat that top, the bottom tier first, you're going to have a problem. Am I wrong? I would say Jenga rules. Yeah. Well, Jenga rules would mean you go. But these tiers weren't touching. They weren't touching. They were held up by the, by the things. If you have an uneven base, isn't that even worse? Like if they take some of the weight off of one side of it. Yeah. I just assume you go, you go top down on a cake. I would think so too. That's a safe way. There's no risk.

[00:20:50] Yeah. There's no risk there. Right. Don't eat the Jenga's either. Don't make that mistake. I've been there. You don't eat, you don't eat Jenga blocks. No. No matter how tasty they look. Last night. We need me there late. I got nuts. Game night at the Bramble house. I don't want the powdered sugar and I was like, oh no. It's not sugar. He's going to eat some hot. Have all the blocks passed? Oh yeah. Thank you. Yeah. Yeah. For sure. The cup really helped. Yeah, exactly. For sure.

[00:21:18] Um, I have to believe that Suki and Lorelei are friends in name only like best friends in name only. They're Bafinos. They, they don't, they like, like they, they know so little about, you know, Brett, best friends tend to know the subtext of what you're talking about without you having to get into it or kind of know you're feeling on something before it happens or, or we'll be aware of it. Like I can typically with fairly good accuracy kind of feel out how Brandon would feel about

[00:21:47] something without actually asking him. And he could probably do the same for me. I mean, these two are constantly surprised with each other and they've known each other for forever. And it doesn't make any sense to me. I think this all goes all the way back to Suki deciding I'm shutting the town down for a party for Lorelei a day after she told me she was engaged. And so I just, there's something that isn't quite working there with that for me. Well, Dan, they went, she decided she wasn't getting married. That's right. Didn't tell her best friend, didn't ask her best friend her thoughts, went to Harvard for two days.

[00:22:17] Then told her and she got back. Yeah. Knowing she was preparing for the wedding. And then we, in my last one, it really is my last one, which is she, her and Rory pull back into Stars Hollow and you see the shots of all of the townsfolk, Miss Patty and Kirk and blah, blah, blah. And everyone is so, so team Lorelei. Right. And it's like, I know that everyone in this town backs their own, but I also lived in small towns most of my life.

[00:22:45] And somebody out there is mad at Lorelei. Like, how is no one in this town mad at Lorelei? Well, that's why we were kind of alluding to it at the party, but it's like, you gotta wait it out. Like, yeah, right. Like I maybe they're just not surprised. It was, it was, it was an excuse for the town to party. Sure. Like as if Stars Hollow needs another like event to come together as a town in the town square. So it's just like, it's another thing. I guess they're used to Lorelei's eccentricities too.

[00:23:15] Right. I mean, they know they probably figured it wasn't going forward. So, I mean, she changes her mind. They're like, might as well get a party out of it while we can. We know we're not getting a wedding. Right. I feel like Runaway Bride was right around 2000 maybe. Oh, so maybe it's a, there's a lot of this that's borrowed. Yeah. We were looking at it wrong the whole time. We were like, the town should have waited. They should, you know, wait to make sure that this is really what she wants. But maybe there's just a head of it. Right.

[00:23:42] And they're like, we got to get, we could, this all can't be for nothing. Right. We got a party. Right. That makes sense. Right. They've got a right to fight for the right to party. Think about it. They do have that right. Right. To fight for the right. That's right. Yeah. You got it. You got a, you got a right to fight. That's it. To fight for rights. Right. Yes. Something like that. Yeah. Yeah. But a lot going on. Anything else going on? No, that's it. All right. It's time for, uh, written in the stars. Hollow.

[00:24:12] That's where we, uh, it's a catch all. Yeah, man. Whatever we want to talk about here. Prediction. Anything else? Questions. I've got some questions. Okay. So first of all, I've keep hearing team Jess. When do we meet Jess? Is Jess going to be a Rory guy or Lorelai guy? Oh, so you don't even know who he is. I don't know who he is. I know what he looks like. I found out that Jess was Milo Ventimiglia and I asked Bran, is he, would it be a, uh, uh, a love interest for Lauren Graham or Alexis Bledel because he's

[00:24:41] in between their ages? And I was told, no, it's a, it's a Rory love interest. Okay. So what other, what other teams do you know? I don't know. Right. Tristan Is there a Logan? There's a Logan I feel like I've heard you talk about Logan That's all I know So is Logan going to be That's got to be for Lorelai So he comes to town But she needs another love interest Yeah Of course So you think Logan's for Lorelai I think so yeah

[00:25:10] And I don't think there's anybody else I could think of But I know a ton of people keep writing Team Jess Team Jess is a big deal Well I mean if you think about it in a sense There's already So there's you know For Lorelai You have Team Max You have Team Luke Right There could be Team Christopher fans out there That just want her to Oh the dad Oh the dad Chris Who we talked about last week Right Christopher Yeah we keep forgetting Christopher He's forgettable What?

[00:25:40] Yeah And then Dean is MIA this episode Dean is MIA And where's Tristan? Where's Tristan? I think Tristan's gone for good He's only in Chad Michael Murray's only in 11 episodes of this television program For real? Yes I think he's probably That's a spoiler alert That's a spoiler alert Sorry I thought he was a big I thought he was too But he isn't The alert is the spoiler Hey that's a spoiler alert Yeah Right Give me a spoiler alert Then the spoiler alert That's a spoiler alert Spoiler alert It's that cuppa That's right

[00:26:10] It's more than you think Throw me off Yeah it's all those functional mushrooms You know what I mean Yeah I'm seeing things It's like the flowers are moving Yeah yeah that's right Are the flowers moving It's all these symbols on the back wall Are moving back It's aluminum Flowers are moving I did want to know Okay so now Will Lorelei And maybe Luke Reuse the cuppa Because it's a beautiful cuppa Why waste it Right So maybe that Maybe they'll get married Maybe they'll get together Where I still want to know They bring cousin I know I bring him up every time He's a nice

[00:26:39] Non-important So help me I'm going to throw you out of the building I'm going to ask Dan Yeah We'll do it in the mic though So they can They bring cousin Rune back Right But then they put him in the back house And nothing happened Why'd they bring him back I love that Chad is team Rune Yes He's team Rune Are you heard that? I was just talking about We're not there yet But if you ask me What team I really am I am a team That nobody else cares about Really? Wow

[00:27:09] I can't wait I thought Luke was as bad as it could get Yeah Oh we're getting the team The chat is waking up Team Dave Rogowski Who's Dave Rogowski? We'll find out I'm sure Team Rune Team Rune Team Rune Team Logan we're getting Yeah I wish I could be discovering Jess For the first time again But we're going to Hopefully at some point There we go You would think so Since you know the name Right That we'll get to it at some point Is it Uncle Jesse? Is it John Stamos? Ooh yeah The Rippers Yeah Yeah right They're great

[00:27:38] Yeah I guess I have questions About the slides That Laura like Yeah man For sure When When did this happen When was she snapping Photos for the slides? She's snapping photos all episode Oh okay But getting them developed Into slides Right All in that same window Yeah Before she's still supposed To get married Makes no sense She'd need her own doctor

[00:28:08] That should have been Emily's first clue That the wedding's not happening It was supposed to happen Last week Instead of wedding planning Instead of wedding planning She's busy Getting the slides developed Yeah Of the pictures Of the impromptu Harvard trip The week of the wedding Right That was a weird choice Maybe the wedding's not happening Right Yeah Maybe there's a chance Maybe there's a chance It's not happening Yeah I Was my Written in Stars Hollow Was I came to the realization That Tristan's just going To not be around anymore Right And that like

[00:28:38] You know They had set up this Pretty easy to follow dynamic With Rory having like Tristan being more of the Like rebellious Bad boy or whatever And Dean being this Townie Right Like just a safe Choice Of the guy that works At the convenience store Townie Dean Townie Dean As we call him Townie Danzer Yeah Homey Closer Townie Danzer Homey Closer Now Townie Danzer Townie Deanzer Townie Deanzer That's exactly right

[00:29:08] So yeah I'm just I kind of am I thought that Chad Michael Murray's character Was really fun in this show And it's a shame That he's gone And I Can't imagine There being a character That does that As good as he does it Yeah A lot of potential I do have a quick question Dan There is a scene here With Emily Gilmore Yes And I do want to set up What happens here So A couple episodes ago Lorelai Expresses to her mom I don't want to tell you stuff Because if it's a good thing

[00:29:38] You know You suck all the fun out of it If it's a bad thing You gloat You're like Yeah I told you so I told you so That's right She tells her this news There is no wedding And Emily I felt like Handled it relatively well What'd she do She was like Okay Right She's like okay She did not gloat And so All I'm saying She took in the information Okay Of how her daughter Feels like When I tell you stuff This is how you handle it

[00:30:08] And she did not gloat What was the question for me How do you Does that growth God know Alright Alright We'll be back next week With another one Come on back Until then Gilmore Andy Mary Yay That's the one Whenever you're ready Gilmore the Marrier Is a Bramble Jam podcast Produced by Brain and Gray And you have that Greenville South Carolina For more information on the show Head on over to a great Social media follow You say so myself At Gilmore the Marrier pod
