[00:01:09] Great to be here back for another Marvel Monday Yeah man Very excited about this, this is a big one This is the Infinity War That's right Which apparently was originally announced as Infinity War Part 1 Yes, they changed the name to Endgame That's right Which is crazy Yeah, even when this came out It wasn't still called Infinity War Part 1 But Infinity War Part 2 was still going to be what it was called next year Which is so weird because all of the comics aren't the Infinity War

[00:01:39] Like, it's a weird I think it worked out for them to make Endgame its own thing instead of Part 2 I do think it worked out for them But, filmed it all together All from the same comic But, yet they decided to change the name Kind of weird Yeah Maybe that's a what a Marvel Mmm, we got out of the way early Too late Great to be here today Rock, let me ask you this How the heck are you? It is a TV show And they're only on episode five right now Wow okay It is fantastic Alright You must watch this show You will love it

[00:08:52] Don't want the spoilers getting out April 27th 2018 For the rest of us And it went a little something like this So they get right to it folks Bad boy Thanos as I like to call him Bad boy Thanos BBT Gets an Infinity Stone The Power Stone His play is to get all six Infinity Stones Wipe out half the population It's a thing that he's into And you know what I'm not gonna yuck his yum His first stop is

[00:09:19] The ship that is carrying the people from Asgard Do you remember two movies ago? Yes that's right Two movies ago The way that that ended Is how this picks up Thanos easily takes over the remaining Asgardians Beats up Hulk Steals the space zone from Loki's Tesseract And then he kills Loki We'll see if it sticks this time Thanos then destroys the ship And continues his hunt for the rest of the stones Idris Elba makes sure that the Hulk returns to Earth

[00:09:47] When he crashes through the New York Sanctum Back as Bruce he warns Doctor Strange That Thanos is coming Tony Stark joins in on this conversation Before he can call Steve Rogers To get the band back together They attack the city And claim the Time Stone from Doctor Strange Spider-Man is pulled into the chaos And after that After they capture Strange on the spaceship

[00:10:17] Stark and Peter Parker Hitch a ride to space As you do to rescue him Meanwhile the Guardians of the Galaxy Answer a distress signal Save Thor floating in space They agree that they need to work together to stop Thanos But they're too late Thanos has already possessed the reality stone And uses its power to manipulate everything around them I think the reality stone is my favorite stone Really? It's a bold move Just like what you can do A time stone I'm a time stone guy I think that's everybody's But I like the way

[00:10:46] What you can do with the reality stone is pretty neat The reality stones You can change the reality To make it look like something back in time If you want to So you have no need for time stone Yeah It's a facade Whereas the time stone really goes back in time If you want to get rid of half of humanity You need all of this stone You're the one that said we had to roll And you're entering Sorry Who was top ten stones What are you doing? We'll rank We'll do a ranking episode Jeez Which character from Mighty Ducks is most like this stone? We'll talk about that as well

[00:11:15] Numbers seven to ten in that ranking are all real stones Yeah Like rhinestone Yeah Soap stone He captures Gamora after learning that she knows the location of the soul stone Desperate to save her adopted sister from torture Gamora tells them where the stone is When they get there The keeper of that soul stone Maybe you've heard of him His name is Red Skull He reveals that there's a price to getting the stone It is the sacrifice of somebody that you love And so Thanos in a ruthless move

[00:11:44] Sacrifices the life of his daughter Gets that soul stone Vision and Wanda are ambushed in Scotland And because he's got a stone in his head And it's gonna It's the mind stone And we gotta make sure that he's okay Captain America, Black Widow, Falcon They arrived just in time Bringing the wounded Vision back to the Avengers compound Vision is urging Wanda to destroy the mind stone Kill him if necessary in order to stop Thanos But she doesn't want to kill him

[00:12:13] She's quite fond of him So instead they decide we're gonna head to Wakanda Have you heard about the impenetrable force? I have That's why that's important when we saw that one first That's why we saw that one last That's right They also believe that if anybody can get the stone out It's Shuri over there in Wakanda She'll be able to make it happen Iron Man, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange They end up on Titan They come face to face with Star-Lord Drax and the gang They realize, uh oh, we're not enemies We're actually working together here

[00:12:42] So let's do that Using the time stone Doctor Strange studies all the possible futures And discovers there's only one There's only one possible thing that I can do here So together they work to execute this plan Restrain Thanos Remove the Infinity Gauntlet And for a moment it's working But, Nebula reveals that Gamora's dead Makes Star-Lord very mad Is attacking Thanos Ruining any sort of groove that they had over here

[00:13:11] Thanos is breaking free Soarin' Defeats everybody Nearly kills Iron Man Doctor Strange steps in Gives up the time stone In order to save Tony's life I don't think that was the one I don't think that was the one That we were talking about With the plan to succeed Okay, Mr. Strange I call him Mr. Mr. Strange He's not even a doctor But yes, amen Revoked his doctorate In Wakanda the Avengers are preparing for an invasion of Thanos From Thanos' army

[00:13:40] Bruce Banner is unable to perform as Hulk So he shows up in his Hulkbuster costume As I call it The tides finally turn when Thor arrives Along with Rocket and Groot Tearing through Thanos' army with his fresh new hammer axe combo A hammer axe combo Yes Despite their efforts Thanos Eventually Reaches Vision Wanda Tries to destroy the mind stone With Vision in it

[00:14:10] Gonzo bye bye But I don't know if you know this or not But Thanos can reverse time now Gets Vision Just in time In order to get that stone from his forehead Kills him again Tough day for him All six infinity stones Are now In his possession But uh oh Thor Is still Doing Thor stuff And buries his new weapon Into Thanos' chest Thanos is injured But says you should have gone for the head And he snaps his fingers

[00:14:40] And across the universe Half of the population Turns to dust It is a tough day What is gonna happen Who's gonna save the day There's no way to know And that my friends was Avengers Infinity War We Did it We sure did Let's take a break We'll come back We will break this movie down more Here on Deck the Hallmark

[00:15:14] We are back Dan Thank you for singing that That was beautiful Thank you It's time for us to share our thoughts On Avengers Infinity War This is a big one Big one This is a big one Uh Ryguy I'll start with you What'd you think of the Infinity War? Yeah just real quick I know that we're a little up against it So I won't belabor this But uh Seeing this for the first time in theaters Is a very very fond memory It was on the night The opening night was on the night Of the 2018 NFL Draft The Browns drafted Baker Mayfield first overall That for me at the time was very Flying high

[00:15:45] Yeah I was like I was ecstatic Like genuinely Like I was I cared much more about The Browns causing me pain back then Than I did now So I was I was very ecstatic that I thought something Uh good happened The only downside to that though Is the Browns had a second pick in that first round So I didn't think I was gonna go to see Infinity War That night Cause the showtimes didn't work out The buddies I would've gone with Were going to an earlier showtime I would've had to miss some of the draft Um But then this really incredible thing happened Is that And I've really never seen this since Uh my local One of my local theaters

[00:16:15] They must've like shuffled some stuff around And a showtime just appeared Like they must've cleared out a theater Like I mean Like and I had I had been checking all day And so like that was the other problem A lot of the showtimes were already booked And so this is at the height of movie pass So and I was a big movie pass boy Uh and so I I got to see the Browns second pick I bolted to the theater I picked it up with my movie pass And seeing this I saw I went by myself But the theater was packed Yeah Like you know And um

[00:16:45] I loved this movie I and my gut coming into this rewatch And I've seen this movie many times Is that this would be my number one overall And it is I I just love this movie I'll I'll hit the hot take So I'll hit the big point first The Russo brothers are just better at this Than everyone else Not to say that there are better filmmakers They're not better filmmakers But they're better at this Right You're saying Of course clears them 10 times out of 10 And twice on Sunday and all that stuff

[00:17:14] But the distinction why I have two Russo brothers films I had of Black Panther or anything else Is because for me and my sensibilities And what I want as watching these movies As a kid who grew up with Power Rangers and what have you The Russo brothers were made to do this It's baffling that when it comes to directing any other type of film That they can't They're so bad at Yeah But it's just I would never say I would never even say that the Russo brothers are better at directing action

[00:17:43] Or fight scenes No Than someone like Ryan Coogler Because the fight scenes in Creed for example are great But when you put them in this Marvel setting It's just magic And to go back to why we're doing this Looking into Doomsday I've said that it's kinda like you know Trying to come back after you know Running Disney successfully and trying to do it again Like Bob Iger Maybe it's not gonna work But I have faith That for as inconsistent at best As Marvel has been over this last chunk of years At best Yeah

[00:18:13] That these guys are just gonna figure it out I just love this movie The opening fight The opening scene is perfect It's so perfect The New York fight scene They balance the comedy and everything so well It's really an impossible task And Endgame doesn't have to do this There are so many characters in this film And they find The Russos find a way to I think by and large Juggle everybody Endgame and a couple movies from now Doesn't have to do it Because we got rid of half the characters It's still in a big ensemble

[00:18:43] But not as big an ensemble as this Thanos is so well written And so great in this movie It makes up for the fact That most other Marvel villains are total poop Like it's like This dude is just Josh Brolin absolutely crushed this The CGI I still don't know It's still the best looking CGI I think ever Honestly Like I'm being a little hyperbolic I don't know if I agree with you there Like I actually think the reverse of that But I Oh really interesting That's fine I think The close ups

[00:19:12] No I think the close ups of Thanos are amazing And I think the very wide shots are amazing The mid shots of Thanos did not look great to me And it could And I was watching it on a pretty good TV And they did not like And his The The The The assistant he sends to Wakanda Like she looks bad in a lot of scenes for me Oh yeah I agree with that Okay Ebony Ma or whatever Yes Like the rest of it's like standard CGI But clearly they put a lot of time and effort

[00:19:41] At least to your point And when we're going close to wide The close ups are unbelievable Yeah Yep And so Once we get to Wakanda I'm just ecstatic Like to me it's like And listen there's really no for me No lull point In the movie If you want me to find a negative or two Mark Ruffalo is just going for yucks at this point The They spend We don't None of us like the Natasha Bruce thing They spend all of five seconds on it Yeah What was the point And they do If you want me to be super critical

[00:20:10] They do the same plot point twice with Quill and Gamora and Wanda and Vision It's the same exact beat and they play it twice And maybe they So But that's like being so hyper critical I love this movie I can't imagine anything's going to top it from number one I Again The Russos are just on a different They were made to make these movies And It has me very excited for Endgame in a couple weeks

[00:20:38] And it has me excited for Doomsday Even though Doomsday could go terribly wrong But I believe in these guys They have three of my top four I go Infinity War Winter Soldier Black Panther Civil War What a top four What a top four What a top four I love these two Yeah you do I mean it's That's your thing If it's your thing it's your thing man I agree with a lot of what you said It is an amazing feat of what they do here And

[00:21:04] They do an amazing job of making you feel like everybody is together when everybody is not actually together Correct Which obviously I don't think Mark Ruffalo was in the same room with these people for most of this Oh yeah for sure So they figured out how Like how can we possibly do this with this many characters and they figured it out and so kudos to them Really impressive And I do also think Like this is This is a part one right Like this When going into it

[00:21:34] This is Infinity War part one We're gonna And I think at this time We're all a little bit nervous right We had the Hunger Games fiasco We had the You know the Harry Potter splitting up the big finale Yeah Twilight splitting up the finale Correct And so I think They could have easily This could have been not good This could have been a waste of time And this is not a waste of time It's fantastic I have it too Right now I have it too That's fair

[00:22:04] So I still have Black Panther 1 Avengers Infinity War 2 Iron Man 3 And then Captain America Whatever that one is The Winter Soldier But it's great It's a great movie Might be one I don't know Dan? This movie is an absolute ripper It is incredibly entertaining It is It moves at a breakneck pace It has a villain That lives up to the hype And it has stakes That we care about In fact

[00:22:32] This movie is so good At what it does And juggling all these characters That my critiques Which are very, very minor for this movie Are either How it's undone After the movie's over Or Something that really is Outside of the Russo's control My only critique Of Of really Well, there's two very, very This movie's amazing It's super entertaining If you're asking me for any sort of Like trying to do what Ryan did

[00:23:01] They successfully drum up the urgency And importance of the stakes So much in this movie That I could've done Without some of the bits Like I honestly think the movie might be Five minutes too funny You know what I mean? Like it's so incredibly The universe is at stake And not in a Thor the Dark World way In a way that makes sense That has been laid out That put all of our heroes in jeopardy And I'm so locked in

[00:23:30] That I just didn't need a Drax bit I didn't, you know what I mean? I just didn't need that And it's quick And it's fine And we move on And the other thing I will say is It doesn't always look great And I think what they're I will be, to be fair What they're trying to do is so incredibly large And gargantuan That I'm not mad about it at all Because I'd rather the swing Than anything else And this is a swing But there are moments of this movie That don't look great

[00:23:59] Including, unfortunately, Wakanda I, like I know they filmed it in the same place That they filmed Black Panther But Wakanda and Black Panther Is this very rich tapestry And in this movie It's a field It's a field And it's And it kinda sucks That is Those are so minor This movie is two and a half hours And it is gripping From start to finish The only big complaint about this movie Is not this movie It's the fact that This movie has actual stakes, guys Yes, the snap at the end of this movie

[00:24:29] Leaves us all silent At the end of the movie You are rendered silent By a superhero movie How cool is it To have a 200, 300 million dollar budgeted movie That at the end of the movie The villain sits down and exhales As he's destroyed half of the universe Roll credits That's awesome I know that there's a part two That's awesome They did it Kudos That takes some stones You know what I mean? Takes some stones That is That is really good filmmaking

[00:24:59] And kudos to them Also In this movie They kill They kill Gamora They kill Loki They kill Vision This is And This is before anyone turns to Ash You know the folks that turn to Ash are coming back Right? You know that That's fine It's a comic book The good guys are gonna win They murder They kill They kill Main Lasting

[00:25:27] Characters of the universe that we built Kudos to you My problem All of those folks are brought back In dumb Dumb Dumb Dumb ways Like They're replaced by a variant Or You know Vision and WandaVision Or Loki gets two seasons of a Disney show Like You know So It's not the Russo brothers fault That that happens That is my only complaint Is that What happens after this

[00:25:55] Takes a little sting out of this movie Which Has a ton of sting in it It's an absolute ripper of a time It goes by like this It is not made at the level of Black Panther It does not mean what Black Panther means It is not executed as well as Black Panther And I'm not saying that as a As any sort of denigration of this movie This movie still is following a comic book formula That has a part two That makes the risk mitigated

[00:26:25] Now The Russo brothers do this very well But what they do is never more than a nine of ten for me And that is a max I think Winter Soldier is the next best thing they've done This is the best thing they've done It is an excellent excellent movie So far anyway In my opinion on my first watch I liked Endgame more than this movie I'm interested to see how it holds up That holds Yeah Well you know the only way in my opinion For the reason Endgame was so great Is because the loss is greater in that movie And it has helped

[00:26:54] So unless you want to argue with me That there's a loss in this movie that holds like that movie Then Well no none of them do That's right I guess Idris Elba Yeah that movie actually holds weight and loss And lets you resonate And it means more because of that But this movie My big So I don't think that this movie scales the heights of Black Panther by any stretch I think Black Panther is looking down at all of these movies comfortably I don't even think it's in an argument I don't like Black Panther and Dark Knight are fighting it out for the two best superhero movies of all time

[00:27:24] Everything else I don't even You can't even see it from there In my opinion Right? This movie I had to The two movies I had to battle with With this movie For next in line Are Iron Man and Avengers 1 I still think Avengers 1 Is a Is a much higher degree of difficulty than anyone else believes that it is And it is a movie that also works flawlessly like this movie does This movie is a bigger swing than that movie I have it ahead of Avengers which I've never had before

[00:27:52] This movie is not as good as Iron Man It just isn't It's bigger It's louder It swings maybe more But what Iron Man did at the time that it did it Is still This is like how I give Star Wars A New Hope More respect than you guys give it Like Iron Man You know in 20 years Remember that ranking episode? Dude yeah you guys still You can't even talk about it without laughing In 30 years from now We're all in our 60s and 70s

[00:28:21] People will be talking about Iron Man like they're talking about A New Hope And I'm telling you Iron Man really is that good Oh I love it It's a plumber I thought about it I did think about it But I also think where the Russo brothers succeed at juggle Success or excel I like that though Let's try that I think what you like Ryguy is Is that the Russo brothers in all of their movies Civil War overstuffed Winter Soldier overstuffed This movie overstuffed And not in a bad way

[00:28:50] The Russo brothers excel at spinning plates In a very entertaining way And whoever their editor is Is really the real hero Because these movies are edited to where It feels like a comic book but breakneck pace And this is their So far their PS de resistance Of showing what they're good at Right? I don't think that that is as good a filmmaking As what Jon Favreau did in Iron Man Or certainly not what Ryan Coogler did in Black Panther So for me

[00:29:20] This movie moved up I had it in my top 10 It's now in my top 3 Black Panther, Iron Man, Infinity War, Avengers, Winter Soldier at 5 So the Russo brothers do have 2 of my top 5 Now we're going to have to agree to disagree on Civil War That movie is a mess of a movie that does work as an action adventure piece But doesn't hit like this or Winter Soldier To be fair I had it at 1 I've actually I think I'm maturing I've moved it down a considerable amount

[00:29:48] Especially given where I usually land on those types of things But you would agree that Yeah I know I think even in 3W You would agree that like Winter Soldier and Infinity War Both pack this existential punch That you just don't anticipate from Hallmark movies From Marvel movies Like this like Oh my gosh Everything's not going to In both of those movies Infinity War and in Winter Soldier You're like maybe everything isn't going to turn out okay And that is That elevates those movies

[00:30:16] Whereas Civil War is just like It's a popcorn It's fan service Happy happy fun time Exactly it's fan service It's like what if Spider-Man fought Captain America Yeah no totally And I don't care about that So like I think Civil War I think we'll have to disagree on But the other 2 are in my top 5 And then you said the loss in Endgame holds But let's wait and see Doomsday Let's wait for Dr. Doom Yeah I'm just telling you right now

[00:30:41] Get ready for me to absolutely eviscerate your beloved Russo brothers When Tony Stark from a different universe is Dr. Doom I will That's not what they're doing I will absolutely lose my mind When that occurs Let's just see They say that's not what they're doing Also they don't storyboard these things And all the Okay All the Spider-Man weren't going to be in the last movie either That was also not happening Alright let's get to the feels

[00:31:11] Regga I have 2 honorable mentions and 2 feels I'll go through them quickly Honorable mention to Cap Sam and Natasha's arrival To save Wanda and Viz I think I like audibly made noise here in my office And I was like oh I've seen the movie a bunch It just got me excited And then the fact that the credits are just so plain They don't do like the CGI They troll black Yeah Like I love that And it's really like you know They really lean into like Empire Strikes Back vibes with that

[00:31:38] And then my tie for first is Thor arriving with his new weapon It's the only time in the movie where they play the Avengers theme The lightning looks good In a movie where I agree that's a lot of the CGI is hit and miss I mean it's just a real goosebump inducing moment But then for me if I had to pick one T'Challa and Cap running ahead of the pack in Wakanda at the start of the battle

[00:32:03] It's a really quick moment but it's really awesome from like a comic book movie perspective And then it actually is like kind of a very beautiful moment And talking about like you know how we should be as people And so I like that moment quite a bit That was beautiful thanks I'm gonna go with the bad guy Thor stabbing him And you have this second where you're like oh he did it Yeah And then him saying should have gone for the head And stabbing his fingers Is awesome

[00:32:33] Like truly awesome bad guy stuff Fantastic loved it Dana I will say this about this movie This movie doesn't for me have a moment That Endgame has six of So like Endgame has on your left I'm Iron Man Assemble Like has all of these moments Of like 10 years

[00:33:02] Of goosebump inducing F yeah moments In the last 30 minutes of that movie That proves that if you land the plane correctly You can cover a multitude of sins This movie has not a single one in my opinion Because it is an Empire Strikes Back-esque movie It is just a breakneck dark Things don't go well moment I say all that to say this Give me a Stark Strange movie right now Give me a Tony Stark I know he's dead Give me a Tony Stark

[00:33:30] Doctor Strange Steven Strange movie Right now Those two characters Talking Arguing Planning Working together Could have watched it all day It's the best thing they do in this movie In my opinion Benedict Cumberbatch Robert Downey Jr. Are just Absolutely dynamite In their scenes in this movie None of that takes place in Wakanda I actually think the Wakanda battle Is just kind of fine This

[00:34:00] It reminds me a little of the Phantom Menace battle With Jar Jar This This stuff With Strange and Stark 10 of 10 No notes And Spider-Man being there Great Great Even better Like my three favorite Probably my Not probably Those are my three favorite standalones My three favorite standalones Are Doctor Strange, Iron Man, and Spider-Man And you took all three of them Or Black Panther Oh I guess Black Panther It's your number one It's just not in this universe I just don't even consider Black Panther Part of the Avengers

[00:35:29] Add them to the list And as we keep going in this Wait What section I bet you will add a few more names to that list Sure, okay Yeah I mean Just destroy the time stone, right? Like Tony Like just Problem solved Just destroy the time stone Yeah, that's interesting When you've sworn a vow To protect a stone I'm sure that they explain Why it's important In Doctor Strange I don't remember why it's important It also seems as though They've gone to a great length

[00:35:59] To tell you why it's hard To destroy one of these stones But it does seem as though Doctor Strange Could really help the cause Out a little more than he does Seems like I mean just like To me it's the Seems selfish It's the clear path Yeah Tony makes Spidey An iron suit Which listen I've Lamented this enough Should have made Natasha And Clint suit Yeah, yeah, yeah, of course What the wait what is Is that as time goes on here As we'll see As we continue on This Marvel This Marvel

[00:36:30] Water thing That we're on Is it okay? But what was I going for Like merrily merrily life is But what was I going for there? Like Just take it straight to the best of What are you talking Do you know what you're saying? This is Marvel stream Stream Life is the stream Yeah, but it's the stream Of Marvel movies that we're on Yeah That makes sense No? Go ahead, keep going You got it bucko So he makes Spidey a suit And as we continue to go down This stream of Marvel movies

[00:37:00] That we're rolling on Nice, that makes sense Yes, good Yeah Merrily even Yes Spidey gets away He'll go back to cloth At a certain point Like I don't think these guys get it Like it's an iron It's a It's It's The fact that we ever see him in any other Other suit is insanity Yeah And if you don't like the current one That Tony made you May he rest Make a different Better iron Yeah, I don't know if you notice

[00:37:30] Apparently Tony's always working on a Spider-Man suit Yeah He's just always in the lab Tinkering with one And then not telling Peter until he has to Just decide Why would you go back to cloth? And then last one here Why Thanos Great villain And a smart guy But you might not like him But he is intelligent But why he opted to turn Drax and Mantis Into solvable jigsaw puzzles As opposed to I don't know

[00:37:59] Murder them Literally anything else Yeah Is a mystery Yeah, he does some Like they I think you can try to explain some of Thanos' Being like From Thanos' perspective He's a merciful dude Yeah But his What he does with those two characters Is inexplicable Like you would either kill them or not And say I'm merciful either way You would not hang them in a fixable puzzle Yeah Doesn't make any sense Yeah That's it for me, Bran Dan, we were talking about this morning Speaking of characters that are missing

[00:38:28] My kids were like Hey, is Ant-Man in this one? Here we go Now we're talking Absolutely They're all in it Don't you do it Don't you act like Yeah They're all in it Yeah No Not even a little bit And We'll talk about it next week And the reason Ant-Man is not there There's no there there Is We find out in Ant-Man and the Wasp A colossally bad movie Well, hold on We'll watch it next week We'll find out Oh, my bad That's next week? I'm sorry Maybe it's good

[00:38:58] I What I will say is this Is even if that is the reason he's gone, Ryan You have to pay some sort of lip service Right? You have to say something Like I called Paul Rudd I called Ant-Man What is his name? I don't remember his name Yeah, I called him He's not there Or like, where is he? We need Scott right now Where is... You have to do something That suggests you're aware of the bigger picture

[00:39:28] Because they do that with Hawkeye in this, right? Like they do reference Well, add him to the cork board Okay Hawkeye Hawkeye Ant-Man Korg Ant-Man though Ant-Man could have gone ant mode Ant-Mode Crawled into the Infinity Glove And expanded And knocked it right off Right? Yeah That probably would have been the best way to get it off his hand But I also Like... Yeah Like my... You know, we can add Captain Marvel to the list Even though we figured out at the end That she just is off doing something

[00:39:57] I just... I guess if there's ever been an all hands on deck Right? You know, Thor is technically battling the whole universe in the dark world But we all know nobody cares We all know he shouldn't call anybody Right If there's ever an all hands on deck This is it So we should at least say I called Scott Didn't hear back Nobody knows where Scott is Yep Something To that regard To be fair Not really But I believe that the opening scene of Endgame with Clint Was apparently originally supposed to be in this film

[00:40:27] So they're... And then they just moved it over to Endgame Well, that's bad on the Russo or the editor's part Somebody That's bad on somebody's part Somebody It doesn't necessarily change it But they could've... They were gonna show Clint And then they just opted to change that So there's that And then my last one is This is... The Infinity Stones are amazing You get them all together You snap your fingers Half of everybody will disappear That's crazy, right? I do find it interesting that They still just disappear in stages though It's like, hey, snap your fingers That's all at once

[00:40:57] It's so weird There's a process There's a process to it And it goes from least to most important Yeah Which is interesting Yeah It knows And I am like a little bummed that we didn't get like one scene of anywhere else Like it happening in the world Like obviously You can technically get it at the end Technically Yeah I just like this is... It's happening in stages It was like, oh, that's like It can only do so much It's like, you can only send so many emails in an hour

[00:41:27] There's something we can do We can only make so many disappear It's processing You know what I mean? It's processing It's like how my update's on my phone Yeah, it's one at a time It's one at a time It's one at a time You know what I mean? Yeah Dan? Yeah, so I know that this is on purpose And I know that it is necessary But we can't... We would be remiss if we did not mention The coincidence of the end of this movie Avengers, Ash, Bucky, Black Panther, Groot, Wanda, Falcon, Drax, Star-Lord, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man

[00:41:54] Avengers, not Ashed, the original Avengers Lucky break It's a real lucky break That it just so happens That the Avengers, not Ashed All appeared in Joss Whedon's The Avengers What are the odds that we get to keep Cap, Hulk, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye What are the odds? That is crazy It's crazy too Because I think they might have to learn how to work together That's... It's crazy

[00:42:24] It's unbelievable And I can guarantee you that that is not the fault of the Russo brothers at all But we can't... We have to do a little eye roll And I know it's necessary And I think the payoff is worth it But to basically make us... Don't try to gin up more stakes for me, right? By... For a second there, you will get caught up in who's disappearing And you'll think it's a big swing If you're not careful You'll get caught up

[00:42:53] I remember being in the theater going Oh, people were going nuts Oh my God Oh my God Like when Spider-Man happens Everybody was like, oh my God And then I remember walking out of the theater going Wait a minute They just reset the Avengers That's all they did Is they just made it Avengers 1 again Like, that's just easy They just did the easy thing Is what they did It's not like Vin Diesel was reading the script being like What? I'm Groot? Groot disappeared Yeah Yeah Yeah No, I'm sorry

[00:43:21] Imagine if Vin Diesel was reading the script and was like What? I'm the leader of the Avengers in Endgame Yeah That's the bigger swing I have a couple more One of mine is I forgot Peter Dinklage was in this movie And I would submit I did too for a bit I would submit to you This is the only time I've ever seen Peter Dinklage And thought it was a bad performance I don't know It's a thankless role He watched some Lord of the Rings He's doing like a voice It's not good It's It is the only thing that took me out of the movie all movie long

[00:43:50] Was It just felt like Why are we doing it? Like It's the one thing I cared the least about Oh my god I would I could snip that eight minutes out and be totally fine He's in the last season of Dexter Resurrection as a bad guy And he's amazing Like in Game of Thrones he's unbelievable In this movie like I was just like why? What? This is not good Not to mention Alf Yeah I do need to mention Thanos looks amazing close up He also looks completely different Than we And we've talked about this from our previous Thanoses

[00:44:19] Where we see Thanos This Thanos looks a lot different than those Thanoses And thank god for it When Spider-Man gets involved He is on a school bus On a field trip And a ginormous spaceship Lands in Manhattan Ginormous understatement You can see it through the Empire State Building The only reason Peter Parker notices is because of his Spidey senses He doesn't No one on this bus Breaks a

[00:44:48] Like no one screams No one goes Oh my god The only reason Peter Parker sees a giant spaceship Is because the hairs on his arms stand up I get that we're showing he's Spider-Man We don't need that Be like oh my god Giant spaceship I gotta kick it into gear Right? Like I don't You know Wanda Maximoff should be way more involved Like we talked about this before

[00:45:18] They make a joke about it at one point I believe Okoye says Like why hasn't she been down here? It's a great question Okoye Wanda Maximoff should be more involved And she's not That is all I got Time for one of Marvels Where we talk about things and whatnot Ryguy Yeah I already mentioned mine It was the CGI on Thanos And I feel like we've covered that But I am to the point of Thanos I haven't watched Endgame in a few years And I'll be curious to see You know there's a

[00:45:47] I don't want to give it away Just in case anyone's following along There's a real big twist with Thanos In the first 10 minutes of Endgame And I'll be curious to see Kind of the dance point Throughout this entire exercise How I feel about it This go around in terms of The Thanos we get at the end of Endgame Isn't necessarily the Thanos that we get At the end of Infinity War Weird way to start the movie Yeah I feel that way more as we go along And so I'm curious I guess Bran I'm curious to watch Endgame But we have shockingly

[00:46:17] Two movies in between Yeah two Maybe that's a one of our Like I mean like What's the other one? Captain Marvel Captain Marvel Yeah but that honestly That's not where I was going But that is That's kind of my point actually Captain Marvel came out before Endgame Yes It was like a month before Like literally like a month before And at the time it was very exciting But looking at it now We're just here to track the progression of Marvel I know we got to run But they would never do that now They would never No Because of their own doing

[00:46:46] But there would never be two movies That's how hot Marvel was They could put two movies In between the two movies that go together And everyone No one was like oh dang Everyone was like yes More And that would never happen now Yeah I You did bring it up Dan I had the same thought While I was watching this movie And starting to see the people disappear in stages Obviously The reminder of the theater experience Of that Where I I have to imagine every theater was about the same But if you saw it

[00:47:15] Spidey especially Like the Silence Like but no But as they're disappearing Like oh Like the sound Like people gasping And then like pure like shock When like Spider-Man Like that was fun That was a fun movie theater experience It was great I love that Dan? Now I'm just like Trying to wrap I literally just looked up on Box Office Mojo How Captain Marvel did at the box office And the Marvel is What a Marvel Captain Marvel is That movie made over a billion dollars at the box office Yeah

[00:47:45] You want to talk about Avengers height Like my What a Marvel was going to be Man we're about to hit some real crappy movies Like we have We have really been very very fortunate I mean Even Civil War A movie that I think is just a mumbled jumbled mess of a movie Is still incredibly entertaining Yeah And we're We are You know We're in the good old days right now Because it is about to leave us

[00:48:14] And it is about to be a slog Where we're watching Hallmark movies at double the length And And In Marvel's defense they do tell you it's the end game They do tell you that If you're If you want the great ones This is the end of the I will also I will also say that I This movie The one encouragement I have For my What a Marvel is Is that I remember really liking this movie I know I went to see it at Camelot In the big screen With a bunch of folks You were not there though It was I remember it being the night of the NFL draft

[00:48:44] But it was a bunch of folks You probably all know And we all went to see it I remember leaving going Man I was starting to really wane on On the The entity of Of MCU outside of Black Panther But this was killer It was so good And Watching it Yesterday Better than that experience Wow I thought it was better than I remembered it being And I actually think You could make an argument Even though Winter Soldier is a better movie Than Civil War That the Russo brothers have Weren't Didn't just show up perfect

[00:49:14] They've actually gotten better Yeah At directing What they're doing here Every time out Which would give you some encouragement For Doomsday Even though my expectations are still very low But I like this more Than I remember liking it originally And so You know what Maybe Ant-Man and the Wasp Isn't just Ant-Man Okay It's still gonna be bad I'm doing the best I can here though We did it everybody Congratulations to us We will be heading to the Ant-Man and the Wasp next week So come on back for that Until then
